The days have been a bit chilly here in Hunt Country! We’ve come up with a list of four of our favorite places to take shelter from the cold with a good cocktail and the warmth of a roaring fire. Enjoy this little cheat sheet and be sure to pencil in a weekend getaway to Hunt Country in search of the perfect fireside drink!

Glen Gordon Manor
Up first, Glen Gordon Manor! This historic bed and breakfast has the perfect setting for a cozy Hunt Country fireside cocktail. Not to mention their award-winning Houndstooth Restaurant for a delicious feast afterwards. We highly recommend booking a room here for a romantic weekend getaway, an escape from city life, or just as a treat to yourself!

The Blue Rock
Venture to the gorgeous Blue Rock, an inn and restaurant nestled in the rolling hills of Rappahannock Valley. This popular Hunt Country spot offers modern cuisine with rustic, countryside charm. Indulge in some fun ways to savor good drinks with wine, tequila, and whiskey flights offered in their Tasting Room. Grab a bite there or head to their restaurant for a fabulous, perfectly-curated four-course menu.

Red Fox Inn and Tavern/ The Night Fox Pub
Oh, Red Fox, how we love you so. Standing tall along the streets of Middleburg, VA is the storied Red Fox Inn and Tavern. Established in 1728, this is a spectacular place to nestle in for a craft cocktail, glass of wine, or a warm-you-up drink. One look at the low-hanging exposed beams, beautiful fireplace and rustic interior of the Red Fox Inn and Tavern, and you’ll be hard-pressed to leave!

The Buttery
One of our favorite Hunt Country gems, The Buttery is the sister eatery to the lovely Locke Store. These folks know how to curate the perfect, seasonal fare and libations. This is definitely a cozy-up-and-relax spot!

Be sure to tell them Scout sent you!
