A Tour of the Garden and Gallery at Oak Spring

Be inspired by Bunny Mellon’ formal walled garden and bask in the shade of the Mary Potter crabapple arbor as you take a self-guided stroll through the marvelous landscape in Upperville, Virginia. Selections from “Fantastic Flora” a digital educational exhibit that blends art, culture, history, and science to explore the role of plants in both human history and the natural world will be featured. Also on display is “Oak Spring: A Place to Grow” an exhibition featuring artwork by alumni of the Oak Spring Garden Foundation’s Residency and Fellowship Programs.

Saturday Tasting at The Locke Store

Head to The Locke Store for a wine tasting with Nate Walsh, a career winegrower. Starting as a cellar rat at Horton Vineyards, in Central, Virginia, he went on to work in vineyards and wineries in the Willamette Valley and Central Otago before spending seven years as the winemaker and vineyard manager for Sunset Hills Vineyard, in Purcellville, Virginia, during a time of large expansion. It was during this time that he began searching for a site from which he knew one could create truly premium Virginia wine. As always, 10% off featured wine.

Summer Bouquet Workshop with C&S Homestead

Summer Solstice Feast in the Field

The Oak Spring Garden Foundation cordially invites you to the vegetable fields at the Biocultural Conservation Farm (BCCF) to celebrate the summer solstice! Guests will stroll through the BCCF’s walled garden while enjoying light bites and drinks, including a signature summer-inspired cocktail. The cocktail hour will be followed by a family-style dinner prepared by OSGF’s Chef Jason Neve and visiting Chef in Residence Douglas Taylor and will highlight a diverse medley of summer crops grown at the BCCF.
