The holidays are finally upon us! The decoration inspo has been flooding my socials, so I’m sure you’re seeing it too. Here at The Scout Guide Triad, we are loving tablescapes. We reached out to our friends at ABBA Design in Greensboro to give us tips and tricks on how to make an TikTok-worthy holiday table.

Layers

Use lots of layers including layering plates, chargers, place mats, napkins- the more layers the merrier! This creates a cozy table that looks professional and beautiful.

Height

“Use lots of height variations! We love to do different types of candles and different heights of candles!” When creating a tablescape, the various heights of candles gives the decor depth and allows for space for flowers or other decor items.

Staple Piece

A staple centerpiece is necessary for a well-decorated table. This can be a beautiful floral arrangement, holiday pieces, or even a candelabra. You want to use something that is eye catching.

Textures

Incorporate different textures and materials – this could include a rattan place mat and glass charger, loose Christmas greens, or even a velvet linen. We love textures to make certain elements stand out.
