For three-quarters of a century, Ulrich’s talented team of award-winning designers and master craftsmen have set the standard in innovative design and unsurpassed service. What’s more, their generous contributions to innumerable philanthropic community projects including Valley Hospital, The Wyckoff YMCA, West Bergen Mental Health, and countless local high school student organizations, to name a few, are a testament to the importance of small businesses to our LOCAL community. Ulrich Inc’s. enduring excellence has earned them countless industry awards and established them as Bergen County’s premier kitchen and bath specialist. We are proud to feature Ulrich, Inc. in our national network of outstanding Scouted businesses and delighted to share their legendary story.

History:

Founded in 1948 by John Ulrich as a small appliance store located on East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ, Ulrich, Inc. quickly grew and expanded into kitchen remodeling and eventually bathrooms. During the 1960s, John’s son David Ulrich, CEO, took the helm and in 1982 Robert Elfers, President, joined the team. Over the next 40 years, together, these visionary leaders expanded Ulrich Inc. into a true “Design Build Firm” with a diverse project portfolio that includes many of Bergen County’s most enviable custom home renovations. Stately home offices, sophisticated family rooms, and swoon-worthy basement man-caves featuring luxurious wine cellars and Oscar-worthy home theaters are just a few of the noteworthy projects Ulrich, Inc designs and builds.

Mission and Team:

The hallmark of any Ulrich project is their team’s unsurpassed commitment to client satisfaction and their collective passion for excellence. Setting Ulrich apart from most other small businesses, in 2017, they established the Ulrich ESOP, making it 100% employee-owned. This vested interest ensures that their mission of making clients “Priority One” is met by all. Ulrich team members are a diverse group of men and women from around the world but also include a handful of LOCALS who grew up right in the showroom’s hometown of Ridgewood, NJ. The majority have worked together for nearly twenty years, harmoniously collaborating throughout design and production to transform their client’s visions into reality. Not surprisingly, many of Ulrich’s customers are repeat clients, as happy homeowners turn to their trusted team to renovate their next home or vacation property. • Did you know that Ulrich, Inc. offers Consumer Care services once your new Ulrich kitchen is installed?  Once your kitchen installation is complete, our Consumer Care Consultant will visit with you in your home for a hands-on tutorial on how to use and maintain the appliances and surfaces we have installed. 
• Did you know that Ulrich Inc. offers service for their projects in homes that have changed ownership many times? The nature of their reputation for Premium Design Build Services and Customer service is such that they often renovate homes that we have worked in before and for family members of people for whom we have worked a generation before. It is not unusual for Ulrich to renovate kitchens that were done in the past and to have the old kitchen donated to a not-for-profit organization called Renovation Angel (Fairfield, NJ).
