Meet Chris Doherty & Eileen Sweeney

A lifelong Bergen County resident and a proud Jersey Girl, Chris married her high school sweetheart, Paul, and together they raised their three children in the community where they first met. After graduating from Providence College with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Chris spent over a decade on Madison Avenue managing the national advertising campaigns of numerous leading brands. As her family grew, she left her New York City commute behind and launched a successful real estate career in her hometown of Ho-Ho-Kus (the only double hyphenated town in the U.S.). Chris loves welcoming clients to Bergen County and introducing them to her go-to spots. She appreciates hidden details, seeks out delicious food, is always up for a new adventure, and loves to connect people to each other.

Also a New Jersey native, Eileen grew up in the Pascack Valley. After earning a BA in History from Fordham University, she launched her career working as a project manager for Chase Home Mortgage. In 1994, she and her husband, Matt, returned to their roots in Bergen County, and after having their first two sons, learned they were expecting triplets. The quintessential multi-tasker, in addition to running her busy household, Eileen served in leadership positions on numerous community and school boards and launched a successful real estate career. In 2018, Eileen’s husband’s job took their family to Cincinnati, Ohio, and it was there that she first saw The Scout Guide. The businesses she discovered through The Scout Guide became her resources as she transitioned to her new community, and she was determined to share its power with her New Jersey friends back home. Eileen introduced The Scout Guide to her high school friend Chris, and together they decided to launch The Scout Guide Bergen County.
