A Little Lite-Brite to get our Cover Color Just Right

It is our favorite time year – the Cover Color Picking Party. My oh my, time does fly when you are having fun. This year to celebrate and choose the Volume 4 cover color, we gathered our members together on Wednesday, October 18, at Krell Lighting in Park Ridge for an interactive evening of color selections and of course some signature lite bites, cocktails and a dessert surprise that is synonymous with TSG Bergen County.

Emily Mason and her team at Krell Lighting made the evening feel like a family affair, after all, Krell Lighting was started over 45 years ago by her grandparents. New to Volume 4 member, Yellow Door Art Studio owner, Lauren Mandal, used her creative genius to design an interactive way for our members to vote for their favorite cover color combination. She brought us back to the childhood favorite family game of Lite-Brite. Her team created a large black peg board and members picked color glass pegs to place in the board.

Annamaria’s Deli once again shared an abundant assortment of their catering favorites, including signature sandwiches on rustic Italian bread, a bountiful shrimp platter and our editor Chris’ favorite, Pasta Carbonara. Curbside Confections provided a sweet ending to the evening with another trip down memory lane with members choosing favorite childhood candies in their own candy bag.

Now that the party is over, we are back to the business of designing the images that will fill the pages of Volume 4. All votes have been cast and counted. Our cover color has been selected but you will have to wait a little while longer to see the results. We will keep the winning combination a secret until we officially launch Volume 4 on January 23. 2024 at our launch party at BergenPAC! We can’t wait to reveal the beautiful next edition of The Scout Guide Bergen County.
