Member Spotlight: Melanie Gowen
To meet Melanie Gowen is to be inspired by her infectious smile and contagious energy. Melanie and I had an instant connection when we met a few years back and it has truly been a pleasure to watch her work grow and flourish! A woman who wears many hats, Melanie is both an very talented and noted interior designer as well as an agent at William Raveis,
Recognized as one of the East Coast’s emerging real estate designers with over 10 years of experience in architectural interior design, brand strategy, investing and most recently real estate development, she has a deep understanding for Nantucket’s unique history, neighborhoods, architecture and community. Her quintessential Nantucket pied-a tiers are a breath of fresh air on the island and she has also collaborated with the team at Lemon Press to put a new look, feel and flavor in their freshly renovated restaurant.
Melanie moved full-time to Nantucket from Washington, D.C. to establish her design and property development business in coastal New England, where her life long love for real estate began.
Before practicing design professionally, Melanie spent five yers working in finance and strategic management consulting, where the gained investment experience for clients with real estate assets. She witnessed the value that beautiful, smart design and branded marketing play in the success of real estate sales and rentals.
Her latest project located at 6 New Lane, speaks to her clean and fresh approach to Nantucket living! We love the blue and white pallet and especially the lacquer library!
