Burritt on the Mountain

Every spring, summer, and fall, Burritt’s Nature Rangers Camps offer lots of learning and laughter! Students in kindergarten through 5th grade (rising 1st-5th graders for summer camps) will experience the great outdoors, create fun crafts, and make new friends while exploring our trails and Historic Park at our day camp. This summer they have a fabulous range of camps!

Cook Museum

Camp programs at the Cook Museum can vary from half-day camps to a full week of fun for campers for ages 4 – 12. There are two ways to register: in person at the Guest Services desk in the Museum lobby or contact the Group Sales department during regular weekday business hours at (256) 898-6312. Stay tuned for updated schedules on their website!

Fantasy Playhouse

There are camps in both Huntsville and Madison throughout June and July! And so many options for everyone from half day to whole day, improv to tech classes and camps with theater showcases too! Head here to download the entire schedule.

Full Day Camps
We offer four weeks of our Full Day camps! Each week will focus on a theme to inspire our daily activities. Actors are divided into groups based on their age. Throughout the week, students will also work on different elements of theatre including acting, voice, movement, dance, musical theatre, improvisation and much more!

Advanced Musical Theatre Showcases
In this two week performance intensive program, our aspiring actors will gain stage experience by working on a musical. Actors will showcase their talents in a fully developed production at Bob Jones High School. Class size is limited.

Young Musical Theatre Showcases
In this two week program, our young performer will work on the basic elements of putting on a play. Actors will perform a short scene before the Advanced Musical Theatre Showcase at Bob Jones High School. Class size is limited.

Teen Acting Showcases
Affectionately described as “boot camp theatre,” FPCTA’s Teen Acting Showcase is an exhilarating combination of theatre training and stage experience. This program requires a lot of discipline and focus and is an exciting challenge for any young actor. Actors will showcase their talents in a fully developed production at Bob Jones High School. Class size is limited.

Half Day Camps
We offer several weeks of different workshop options for campers of all ages! Campers (ages 3-15) can choose to extend their experience to a full day by taking a morning and afternoon workshop. Campers staying for a full day of fun are welcome to take part in a supervised lunch before the afternoon camp begins. FPCTA does not provide food or drink. Campers staying for a full day, please provide a peanut-free/tree-nut free lunch each day.

Tech Camps
Join us in our Tech Lab this summer at FPCTA! We have a little bit of everything for our campers from Stage Management, Sound Design, Lighting Design or working on props and costumes for our Musical Theatre Showcases! Class size is limited.

Huntsville Botanical Garden

Experience a summer of STEM excitement in 2024! Dive into an array of 10 distinct camp themes offered in June and July at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. With options tailored for ages 4-12 (students entering Kindergarten through grade 6), the camps cover a spectrum of engaging topics—from backyard scientists to Bugs: Heros and Villians to Enchanted Garden Friends to the culinary wonders of “What’s Cooking.” Your littles can join them for an educational and fun-filled adventure this summer! PRO TIP: Extended Care is available in the morning and/or afternoon! Morning Extended Care hours are 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Afternoon Extended Care hours are 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Camp Maranatha

Camp Maranatha is an independent Christian Summer Camp located on beautiful Lake Guntersville in Scottsboro, AL. Locally owned and operated for more than 50 years, Maranatha offers a variety of amazing programs for children ranging from K-12 with age-focused Day Camp, Overnight sleep-away Camp, Adventure Camp, and Leadership Training opportunities. Randolph School

The Randolph Summer Program is open to any student interested in academic enrichment, extraordinary opportunities, and just plain fun! Classes are taught by Randolph faculty, staff, and coaches. All camps are open to the general public. You do not need to be a Randolph student to attend. They offer courses that will not only strengthen academic acumen, but inspire creativity and innovation. Programs will expose children to challenging academic, arts and athletic programs in ways that excite the imagination.
