Meet: Dr. Alexandra Cope of Copesthetic Health

Dr. Alexandra Cope of Copesthetic Health emanating Hunt Country chic.

Dr. Alexandra Cope entered the scene in Hunt Country this past March, and brought with her a passion and unique skillset. Licensed by the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine in 2016, Dr. Cope is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine with expertise in Fertility, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), PMS and integrated medicine.

Dr. Cope is based out of her office at Lifestyle Physicians in Warrenton, VA. With an immense background in Naturopathic medicine, Dr. Cope has received education and cultivated expertise in pharmacology and herbalism, nutrition and pharmaceuticals, physical medicine and diagnostic imaging, (to name a few). She has also worked in and with community harm reduction clinics, integrated Women’s Health, and Transgender Clinics. Upon her move to Virginia in 2018, she continued her education in Trauma Training along with Women’s Health. Dr. Cope strives to support those in the community by offering treatments and solutions that are both natural as well as individualized so each patient receives a very personal, deep level of care.

“No one really knew about the amount of healing that comes from a true integrated perspective”, Dr. Cope says. By integrated perspective, she means the merging of Allopathic Medicine (a system of medicine that aims to combat disease by using remedies) and natural medicine (or, Naturopathic Medicine).

One of her specialties? (Among the many she has, which might be too many to list here!): Creating custom herbal formulations for her clients.

Here are a list of others, which if you couldn’t tell, are designed to assist and supplement the reproductive system as well as aid with fertility and mental health. (Dr. Cope seriously does it all). Specialities include but are not limited to: Fertility, Fertility Awareness / Alternative Birth Control Methods, PCOS & PMS, Pre-Conception & Family Planning, Trauma, Inherited Family Trauma, and Emotional & Spiritual Support.

We asked Dr.Cope what she loved most about her business and job. “Being able to witness my clients on an intimate level grow in every area of their life, from family, to boundaries, to prioritizing “me” time for healing”, she says. “Seeing the shift that happens when optimal health is achieved ripples out in so many areas of life.

In terms of fertility issues and concerns with her clients, Dr.Cope showcases her expertise in the following treatments she offers: : Mercier Therapy, herbs for pain free periods, acne & skin issues, bloating, parasitic infections, SIBO, Constipation, Trauma & Women’s Health using Somatic Experiencing.

Other programs include the Copesthetic Cleanse , a juice cleanse intended to saturate the body with nutrients from raw fruits and veggies in order to achieve a healthy gut and overall boost in energy and health!

The 6-month membership is intended for those looking for PCOS / Endometriosis support and to add receptive and energetic healing, while the Fertility Journey Package includes but is not limited to a fertility evaluation for both partners as well as a Treatment Plan for both partners.

Of course, we had to ask, what does Dr. Cope love most about living and working in Hunt Country? “It has to be the trees, the people, and the animals.  For me, it’s always bigger than just what the city has to offer, it is a community effort to create a sense of home.  This ecosystem is so supportive in my work.”

Her fave Hunt Country spots you might ask? “Anywhere where a big tree is with the sunset”, she says. (We REALLY like her style).

“I also love the diversity that Salamander Resort brings to Hunt Country, as well as the little town of The Plains”.

Not to mention, she has a particular affinity for a Belgian-French Draft Thoroughbred cross named “Kachina”. Yes, Kachina is a horse, this is Hunt Country after all!
