In the midst of one of the hottest weeks of the year, The Scout Guide Gulf Coast’s Volume 2 members gathered for a summer soiree under the sun. Held at Heron Pointe at The Wharf, the air was filled with the sounds of live music, mingling conversations, and the gentle rustling of palm trees. Clad in their coastal-chic attire, members gathered eagerly to catch a glimpse of the Guide’s secret cover color and to immerse themselves in an evening that promised to celebrate the area’s vibrant culture, hidden gems, and the wonderful small business owners who make our area so unique.

Special thanks to our Vol. 2 member and photographer Goodie and Smith Weddings for capturing a special soirée in celebration of Volume 2.

Upon arrival, members and guests were treated to a breathtaking entrance and first-look at this year’s cover colors. Lights by the Bay created a show-stopping photo-op with their marquee lights spelling, “Gulf Coast Volume 2.” In addition, Pop and Pour Party Co. created the perfect entrance with yellow and pink balloons, and Citrus and Ro’s use of flowered plants and ferns added to the theme perfectly.

The cover’s yellow color was chosen to represent the endless sunny days we have here on the Gulf Coast while the pink stripe gives a nod to our editor’s favorite sunset color.

Guests enjoyed our signature cocktail: The Scout, a yellow hued vodka cocktail and indulged in various delicious foods catered by A Gathering Place Catering. Their menu featured dishes such as: shrimp cocktail, cheddar biscuits, seafood combo and parmesan crusted chicken. Of course, the fresh oyster bar provided by Murder Point Oysters was also a hit.

Our Vol. 2 and coastal themed decorated sugar cookies by Fort Morgan Beach Sweets were a hit. Not only did they look beautiful, but they were super tasty!

We partied the night away to the tunes of Denver Harvey, enjoying a beautiful night by the Intracoastal Canal. Members showed off their new spreads and spent the night networking with their fellow members.

A blown up edition of our newest cover printed by FASTSIGNS served as the perfect backdrop for pictures.

And though the night was coming to a close, we couldn’t let our guests leave empty handed so we sent our guests home with wonderful party favors by some of our talented members: A print of our Vol. 2 map painted by Anne Riley Fine Art, a signature candle by Mirth Candle Co. and a perfectly themed matchbook, and perhaps the biggest hit of the night, a 10-minute live sketch of our partygoers by Brook Taylor Illustration.

What a wonderful night it was celebrating the launch of The Scout Guide Gulf Coast Volume 2. It was truly a night we will always remember and we could not have done it without our local members and vendors. They are the reason we continue to do what we do and we hope you continue to support them throughout the coming year.
