Meet Caroline Edmondson
Caroline Edmondson grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and has spent every spring and summer along the breathtaking shores of the Gulf Coast. Some of her favorite childhood memories stem from hours spent on the beach—playing in clear waters, searching for the perfect seashell, and building sandcastles.
Caroline graduated from The University of Alabama in 2019 with a degree in English and creative writing. She has always had a passion for telling stories—real and imaginative—and after college, she was beckoned back to her hometown to begin her career as editor for a local glossy lifestyle and fashion magazine.
During her time at the magazine, she discovered and fell in love with The Scout Guide and its mission. Having served as a small business advocate within her editorial role, she knew The Scout Guide would be the perfect next step in her career, and a way for her to share her love for all of the wonderful things to do and see in the Gulf Coast area.
Caroline is ecstatic to bring The Scout Guide to the Gulf Coast. She is most looking forward to highlighting the businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs that make the Gulf Coast a fantastic place to live and visit for locals and tourists alike.
Caroline loves relaxing on the beach with a good book, boat rides with her friends, grabbing dinner and drinks, and working out at F45.

The beaches. No beach quite compares to the beautiful, sugar-white sands of the Gulf Coast. Whether you’re soaking up sun with family or friends during the day or catching one of the breathtaking sunsets during ‘golden hour,’ there is no better feeling than sand between your toes against the backdrop of crashing waves.
The food and drink. How lucky are we to have so many award-winning restaurants and unique eateries (some nationally recognized!) right at our fingertips? From freshly caught seafood to mouth-watering burgers and everything in between, there’s no shortage of fabulous places to grab a bite after a long day on the beach. And with a variation of the famous ‘Bushwacker’ on almost every menu, this cocktail isn’t one to miss!
The endless activities. One of the best ways to make the most out of your time on the Gulf Coast is to get outdoors, and with a wide range of outdoor activities you’ll never be bored! Rent a boat for the day, take a dolphin cruise, try your luck reeling in an award-winning fish, take a helicopter ride or parasail over the blue waters, or visit OWA for a day of thrill rides!
