The History of Ben’s Bells

Ben’s Bells – How It All Started

When Jeannette Maré’s son, Ben, suddenly passed away in 2022 before his third birthday, her life was marked forever. Surrounded by a strong foundation of support, Jeannette and her loved ones began making ceramic wind chimes and quickly after Ben’s Bells was born.

What started as a therapeutic craft to help with her healing is now a successful worldwide nonprofit that revolves around nurturing kindness in your community. After the first four hundred chimes were distributed in Tucson, Ben’s Bells quickly started a domino effect. Locals began sharing their own touching stories of personal struggles and loss as well as the journey to finding hope with the overall goal of healing.

Today these free kindness education programs have positively impacted and reached over 1.6 million students. What started as a simple act to spread kindness in our local Tucson community, flourished into a worldwide movement with the mission to  teach individuals and communities about the positive impacts of intentional kindness and to inspire people to practice kindness as a way of life.

Head on over to their website to learn how you can get involved and begin practicing kindness in the very place Ben’s Bells was started, your local Tucson community.
