Meet Ashlyn Gibbens Lawson

Originally from Aubrey, a small town in North Texas, Ashlyn Lawson graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Horticulture and Agriculture Business. After college, she traveled the country during her early career in medical sales, living and visiting various cities across the nation before landing in Austin, Texas. Once there, she revisited her love for flowers, and started her own floral and event design business. It was here that Ashlyn first discovered The Scout Guide, and she found her wedding industry friends and mentors gracing not only the beautiful pages of the Austin guide, but they had a presence in guides across the nation.

Presently, Ashlyn is back in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with her husband Jason and their three young children (Four if you count her partner-in-crime Buddy, a large rescue dog who tags along wherever she goes.).  Ashlyn is thrilled to introduce The Scout Guide to the Southlake & Grapevine area and can’t wait to showcase everything local and thriving in NE Tarrant County.

When she’s not scouting, Ashlyn enjoys walks with her family and dog, traveling, frequenting local restaurants with her girlfriends, entertaining, volunteering with local non profits, and of course, Aggie football.

Ashlyn’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

The Activities. Whether strolling the shops in Southlake Town Square, or popping over to Grapevine for a day of wine tasting at local wineries, there is always something fun to do!

Reason 2

The Dining. Steak, sushi, pizza, fried chicken, BBQ…it doesn’t matter what you are in the mood for, this area is booming with great, local restaurants and chefs!

Reason 3

The Beauty. Greenspaces, tree-lined streets, miles of walking trails and rolling pastures of farm and ranchland abound. It truly is a gorgeous area!

WORDS TO LIVE BY:   A quote said over and over by Ashlyn’s grandfather, “Bigdaddy”: “No matter the situation, never let your emotions overpower your intelligence.” – Jean Hudson
