Meet Cheney Patrick Edmunds

Cheney Edmunds was born in Richmond but raised in Norfolk, Virginia. She graduated from Norfolk Academy and Randolph Macon College in Ashland with a double major in business/economics and German. After a brief stint in Lake Tahoe, she took a job in finance in Richmond, where she met her husband, an Institutional Equity Sales Trader. Both took jobs in Baltimore with Wachovia Securities, where they spent thirteen wonderful years living in Annapolis. In 2013, as their three children reached school age, Cheney and her husband made the move back to Richmond to raise their family.

Cheney could not be more thrilled to have a job doing what she loves at The Scout Guide. Working with fabulous business owners and keeping her finger on the pulse of Richmond’s vibrant food, fashion, and art scene is her dream come true. Cheney loves the dynamic days the job brings—sales, photo shoots, marketing, promotion, and styling are some of the roles Cheney enjoys as an Editor.

When they’re not working, Cheney and her husband enjoy live music and great food, which are both easy to find in Richmond!

Cheney’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

Out-of-this-world restaurants. Some of my favorites are Lemaire, L’Opossum, Edo’s Squid, The Dog and Pig Show, Millie’s and Stella’s.

Reason 2

Festivals and events. Don’t miss Broad Appetit or Dominion Riverrock Festival.

Reason 3

The arts. Richmond has so many fabulous museums and galleries, including the VMFA, Galleries such as Page Bond Gallery and Reynolds Gallery, The Wilton House Museum, VCUarts, and soon the VCU Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA).
