Last week I had the pleasure of touring @greenswellgrowers in Goochland and Wow! It blew me away. CEO and college chum, Carl Gupton, walked me through the greenhouse so I could see first hand how this company’s locally grown lettuce is completely disrupting the fresh lettuce industry , in the best way. The lettuces are grown locally using safe and sustainable packaging, producing fresh greens 365 days a year. The greenhouse uses 85% less water than traditional methods and each lettuce head takes only 21days to grow. Most lettuces shelf lives are usually 5-6 days. @greenswellgrowers lettuce has a shelf life of 18-21 days. This beautiful greenhouse, right here in Goochland yields 25 times what traditional farming land yields. Their 1 1/2 acre yields 700,000 lbs annually . They are scaled to grow. This is a game changer! So when you see this lettuce in your market, know it is LOCAL, super fresh and really a marvel in the farming industry. Bravo @greenswellgrowers !!
MEET || Missy Bass. The mortgage business is in her blood. Missy’s father was a mortgage lender and she grew up surrounded by talk of purchase prices, loan to values, and mortgage scenarios. Pretty much everything in the mortgage industry, she has done-except run one, but sky is the limit for her. This past year, she took the position of Central Virginia Sales Manager for First National Bank and they have already started to make their mark! Under her leadership, they have exceeded all expectations and continue to grow. Be on the lookout for 4 new branches in the Richmond area! @missy_bass930 Photo @benwhitephoto
