Meet Jayme Keffalas

Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, Jayme Keffalas grew up in a family of small business owners. She currently resides in the suburbs of Butler County with her husband and their feline friend.

While studying biobehavioral health at Penn State University, Jayme discovered her love for social media marketing. And while she earned her degree from PSU in BBH, she knew that wasn’t what her lifelong career was supposed to be. Over the years Jayme has started a blog and grown her online presence while working with numerous small businesses, assisting them with their social media strategies.

Jayme spent time living in Florida during her college years and discovered The Scout Guide while working on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. Since then, she’s collected guides from all over the country and has been in awe of the beauty that they hold and the small businesses inside of them. With her love of the guide and personal connection to small businesses, becoming an editor was truly the perfect fit. She is excited to bring a new perspective to supporting local to the Pittsburgh area.

Jayme’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

The variety of activities. While Pittsburgh is known for its champion sports teams, we have so much more to offer than just that! Whether you’re a sports fanatic, a history buff, an art lover, a foodie, or anything in between, we have something for you. I truly have never seen such diversity of businesses, culture, and people within one community anywhere else, and that is just one thing that makes Pittsburgh so special.

Reason 2

The people. I have visited and lived in numerous cities, and I have never met people quite like those in Pittsburgh. We are a big small city; everyone knows everyone, and we have a connection through the passion we have for this city. If you visit Pittsburgh I know you’ll encounter kind and compassionate people, and that fact makes me proud to be from the City of Bridges.

Reason 3

The accessibility. The location of Pittsburgh is truly unique. Depending on if you drive north, south, or west of the city, you can be in New York, West Virginia, or Ohio within 3 hours or less. This makes us the perfect location to travel from a variety of states, or it offers the perfect opportunity for a road trip to destinations in those nearby states. If you’re looking to fly in, we have one of the top-rated airports in the U.S. and in the world over the past decade. Come experience it for yourself!
