FALL FASHION MADE SIMPLE with the ROYAL POINCIANA

It’s that time of year again, Scout Guide readers – Fall is upon us!

And while South Florida may not exactly bring the winter chills, we’re here for those wardrobe transitions regardless.

When it comes to refreshing our closet, we definitely have our go-to’s; and The Royal Poinciana Plaza tops that list.

The lush garden courtyards offer an idyllic place for children to frolic, a place to sip a coffee with paper in hand, gather with friends or simply enjoy the Florida sunshine.

With everything you need to fill a day – amazing dining, endless shopping, plus pilates, hair salons and so much more, you’re sure to find at least one TSG team member at The Royal on any given day.

We’re getting ready to kick off season, and in preparation for your return to our beautiful town, we worked with the team at The Royal to round up some essential Fall pieces, all of which can be found at The Plaza!

Keep reading to see and shop some of our favorites for the season.

TSG: We’re ready to swap into our Fall wardrobes! Where can we find the best sweaters for a closet refresh?

RP: La Ligne has incredible striped sweaters and cardigans perfect for evening boat cruising or beach strolls. Of course, Lingua Franca is known for their deliciously soft cashmere sweaters which are hand embroidered with cheeky phrases or customized to the client’s request.

TSG: How about transitional layers?

RP: There’s no better place to shop layers than Veronica Beard. The brand is known for their blazers and dickies, which can be removed or swapped depending on your look. Our favorite piece of the moment is their Keaton Combo Dickey Jacket, which does not just double duty, but TRIPLE duty. The piece can be worn connected which looks like a denim jacket layered over a blazer, or can be worn separately as a vest or denim jacket. 3 for 1? Yes, please.

TSG: Share three trends we’re seeing for Fall and can shop at The Royal.

RP:

1. Pops of bright colors, especially PINK!

TSG: Where can I shop if I’m looking for more classic styles vs trends?

RP: For those looking for classic silhouettes, Frame and Theory are wonderful options. For those who like classic styles and neutral colorways, but are open to more of-the-moment cuts and fit, Nili Lotan is a must-shop.

TSG: What do we think will be the most coveted handbag sold/carried this season?

RP: Palm Beach season revolves around events from luncheons to black tie galas, and a girl needs a bag that can multitask. The Jimmy Choo Bon Bon bags get the job done with flair and functionality. Our pick is the silver mirror fabric with metal handle:

TSG: What new stores/restaurants have opened since we visited last season?

RP: Last season we opened Cartier, La Ligne, Marissa Collections, Nili Lotan, La Ligne and Frame. Since, we have reopened TooJay’s and expect Oscar de la Renta to make its in the upcoming month!

TSG: For newcomers – what completes the Palm Beach essential wardrobe, and where do I shop for it?

RP: Flowy, midi or ankle-length sundresses! Step into Beach and shop their assortment. We love the colorful, printed Farm Rio selections which are always stocked.

TSG: If I have one afternoon at The Royal – how should I spend it?

RP: Blowout at Paul Labrecque Salon and Spa, lunch and gelato outside at Sant Ambroeus, shopping at Marissa Collections.

TSG: With season upon us, what are my options for picking up a hostess gift?

RP: We highly suggest Kirna Zabête for candles home edit items. And of course, there’s not a host in the world who would be displeased with a coffee table book from Assouline.
