Meet Grace Clayton

Originally from Mississippi, Grace now lives in Ocala, Florida, full-time. Prior to her move to Ocala, she attended college at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she earned her degree in public relations. Grace has frequented Ocala since she was 13 to ride and compete her horses on the winter circuit. She now works full-time at Exceptional Equestrian, a luxury riding apparel and lifestyle store at the World Equestrian Center.

Having grown up in a traditional southern town as the daughter of small business owners, Grace has an innate passion for local smalls businesses and community involvement. She believes that local stores and establishments are truly the soul of the community. Grace picked up her first Scout Guide in 2013, and it has been her travel go-to ever since. Her enthusiasm for small business and travel makes the TSG mission one she can vehemently stand behind.

A charismatic individual who loves interacting with and meeting new people, as well as all things fashion, travel, and food, Grace spends her free time riding, hanging out with friends and family, and obsessing over her outfits. When she can, she travels home to Mississippi or to her family’s ranch in Wyoming.

Grace’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

The food. Ocala has some of the most interesting restaurants, from quirky dive bars to five-star dining. There is no shortage of good food here.

Reason 2

The horses. Ocala is the horse capital of the world! The winter circuit brings in a huge revenue for the community as well as people from all over.

Reason 3

The charm. Ocala has the perfect combination of southern charm and old Florida living, but with a cultural mix of people from all over the world. The best thing about Ocala, though, is the views. Driving along the highway seeing the horses galloping on the track in the mornings and the sun setting through the Spanish moss is magical. Ocala has a soothing effect on the soul.
