VISIT: If you’re in town this weekend, you do not want to miss the opening reception for Stephen Hoffpauir at Cole Pratt Gallery tonight from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Hoffpauir, a native New Orleanian and one of Taylor’s favorite artists, is a photorealist watercolor painter who likes to portray his subject from an unexpected vantage point. The exhibition will be on view until June 30th.

WANT: Between birthdays, barbecues, and pool parties, the summer celebrations are upon us. If you’re looking for better-than-basic party goods, The Graceful Host Shop is the place to go. They carry beloved brands like Meri Meri, Rifle Paper, & My Mind’s Eye, and their balloon bar offers helium balloon bouquets for pick-up, as well as grab & go balloon garlands. They’re in Downtown Covington and their store is worth the visit, but they ship everywhere and have a great online shop if you aren’t able to go in person.
