I love the idea of a micro-wedding. Maybe it is because I am past my wedding circuit days or maybe its because I have been given the time to reimagine my wedding. To me, the concept seems very fitting of the times: to be surrounded by the ones who matter to you most and who will ultimately help you uphold the vows: “for better or for worse, in sickness or in health, until death do us part.” Our friends at Jade + The Plant Gallery are collaborating with many couples to create the wedding of their dreams at home. Victoria Clement of Weddings by TPG shares with us a few tips on How To Make Your Micro Wedding Macro in Your Own Backyard

Create an outdoor oasis. You do not need to relandscape your entire backyard to create the backdrop of your dreams! Weddings by TPG does offer full-service event styling. In addition to our floral services, we also offer a variety of items for rent. From decorative fountains and pots to a variety of gorgeous green plants and accouterments, we can supply you with the decor you need to compliment any floral arrangement. If your backyard has typical outdoor furniture, we can walk through your house and help you identify pieces that will create a comfortable space for a day to make you want to linger longer than most.

Be bold and beautiful. White floral arrangements will forever be gorgeous and timeless, but we are seeing more brides opt for bright colored floral arrangements to infuse spirit into their big day. It provides great contrast to the garden, as well.

Register for your big day. Many tabletop items you see here were sourced from our sister shop Jade which offers a bridal registry. Consider registering for items you may wish to use on your wedding day.

Create a glow. Lighting does much more than simply letting everyone see one another. Having the right lighting elements can really give your wedding a specific character and a unique vibe. We offer a variety of candles, fixtures, and other decorative lighting to enhance your ceremony. Just think of how good your floral arrangements and decorations will look in the warm, intimate glow of beautiful candles and specialty lights.

Plan for the best. Weddings by TPG is committed to working with every budget. During these uncertain times, we want to assure our brides that we are here to make their wedding dreams come true even under these extraordinary circumstances. We are holding in-person or virtual consultations, making adjustments as needed while guaranteeing the process is as streamless as possible.
