Fashion Roundup: Best Outfits for Summer 2024
Hi! This is Anna Grace Dreiling, Livy Nieset, and Elizabeth Johnston and we are The Scout Guide New Orleans Summer Interns. With summer in full swing, we’ve been scouting the local shops of New Orleans to find the best outfits for summer 2024. This past week we explored Joseph, tasc Performance, Sue Sartor, NOLA Couture, Peony, and FeBe. We had a great time dressing up and finding great pieces for vacations, formal parties, studying abroad, dinner parties with friends, and much more!
JOSEPH
The navy Akris Punto dress in the first picture is a versatile staple. It’s a timeless piece, making it a go-to option for various occasions. In the last picture, I’m wearing an Alix of Bohemia blouse, Frame Cropped Colorado jeans, and a peach Prada leather mini bag. This outfit is perfect for a summer dinner gathering with friends or family.

I have been trying to find dresses that are appropriate yet stand out and this Silvia Tcherassi Acalia Dress was perfect. Its pink feather-like design gives it a summery vibe, and the unique rope tie accentuates the waist beautifully. I’d pair it with a white clutch and strappy heels for the perfect summer party look.

This Veronica Beard white denim dress caught my eye immediately. Its perfect to where to brunch during the summer and can also transition into the fall for football game days!

This summer I’m studying abroad which means I’ll be traveling on a lot of planes and trains. I found the perfect travel and lounge outfit featuring the Studio Fleece Sweatshirt and the Studio Sweatpants. I love how its super cozy but still stylish.

Playing tennis and pickleball are some of my favorite things to do in the summer, and this is the perfect outfit for that. The Sculptive Racer Back Tank with Built-in Bra is stylish and offers tons of support. The On the Court 13in Skirt adds a feminine and flowy touch to the outfit. I can see myself wearing this outfit working out, running errands, and even to class in the fall.

During the summer I love to run in Audubon Park and the NOLA Tank 2.0 paired with the Momentum 3in Lined Shorts in the color punch texture is perfect for that! The Energetic Featherweight Jacket in the color jade is great for hiking in the mountains this summer. I paired it with these fun Ready 2-in-1 Short in the color Limelight Confetti.

SUE SARTOR
The colors in this maxi dress scream summer to me. Featured in the second picture, I’m wearing the Hamilton Lavender/ Pink Vintage Poppy kaftan which I see myself wearing in Switzerland this summer. The cinched waist with the tie gives the dress a good shape and the pattern is gorgeous.

This Fairfield Mini stood out to me because of the ruffles and pattern. I also love how you can wear this dress in different ways depending on how you style the waist tie. I am working in D.C. this summer and when I saw the Sue Sartor Sleeveless Flounce™️ | Red/White Vintage Lily dress I immediately thought of the Fourth of July.

The Blue & White Floral Freret Blouse is perfect for any summer occasion. It’s super light-weight and great for the summertime heat. I’m going on a family vacation to Rosemary Beach this summer and would definitely wear this out to dinner or even over my bathing suit with jean shorts.

The Octavia dress was so perfect for the summer I had to try it on in both patterns. I loved how light weight it was which makes it perfect for the heat in New Orleans. You can wear it as a cute swim cover up or with sneakers for a more everyday look. I can see myself wearing this dress to barbecues, the beach, and even Jazz Fest.

This Karina Grimaldi Latte Scarlett mini dress is perfect for summer and can even transition into fall. I love the gold button detailing and puffed sleeves. I would definitely wear this to a summer brunch with tan wedges and would rewear for a football game in the fall.

One of my favorite colors to wear in the summer is yellow because it shows off your tan. This Karina Grimaldi Sawyer Midi Dress was beautiful with the eyelet details. Matching sets are so easy to wear, and this one did not disappoint! The Tara Jarmon Primavera Green Floral Printed Pants and The Tara Jarmon Trish Green and White Ribbed Jersey Top in picture 4 paired together would be perfect for a date night look!

The New Society Abbott Blouse and Skirt Set is perfect for the summer because of its beautiful white eyelet design. It would also be such a great outfit to bring on a trip because you can style both pieces together or apart so it’s 3 outfits in one!

I am obsessed with this green DVF set that features the Claud top and Emme skirt. I would wear these pieces together or separate to change up the look. Even though it’s knit, it’s super airy and breathable. This set is giving Coastal Italy vibes and pairing this look with nude or white sandals adds an air of effortless chic.

The Simkhai Silas Knit Bodice Midi Dress is super versatile. I think it would be perfect for a vacation to the coast. It’s giving Nantucket vibes. The bodice gives great shape and contrasts the flowy bottom. I would style this dress with a pair of espadrilles.

This Lemonis Sundress by Alemais was stunning with its vibrant colors and lemon details. The shape of it was very flattering. I can see myself wearing it on the Amalfi Coast! Rompers are so easy to wear and I loved the structure of the Short Sleeve Skye Romper by Tanya Taylor. It fit so well and I loved how you can adjust the zipper.

The eyelet detail of this Ulla Johnson Aviana Top is super trendy and the material is very breathable. This top can be paired with so many bottoms including these adorable pale yellow Bridget Boot H/R Instasculpt jeans! This yellow is the color of the summer! I also tried on this A.L.C Ryan Dress which is a perfect staple for the summer.

This Farm Rio Flower Fan Tapestry Midi Dress has a super unique and fun pattern. This dress is a perfect throw on for the summer for any occasion! I tried on this adorable knit A.L.C Corinne Dress, too! This dress is easy to dress up or down, either pairing it with some wedges and a cute statement bag or sandals for a casual beach look.
