ABOUT TSG MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST EDITOR KRISTIN LEE:

As editor/owner of The Scout Guide Mississippi Gulf Coast, Kristin Lee is excited to highlight the talented entrepreneurs, visionaries, and artists who make the coast a great place to live and visit. She loves having the opportunity to support and connect others with the many locally owned businesses that beautiful coastal Mississippi has to offer.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, Kristin began working as a registered nurse in an operating room at a hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi. Her passion for people was the driving force behind her decision to choose this path. While pursuing her nursing career, she had the idea to write and publish a colorful book that focuses on the highlights of her hometown of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. It is currently sold in local downtown shops and at festivals, and the book sales have greatly exceeded her expectations.

After 15 years in nursing, Kristin decided it was time to find a job that would fit her creative spirit. It wasn’t long after she left the healthcare system that she saw a copy of The Scout Guide, and it was love at first sight. She knew immediately that being editor of the Mississippi Gulf Coast city guide was the perfect match, satisfying her love for people, projects, books, paper, design, photography, and all things local.

Kristin was born and raised in Ocean Springs, where she currently resides with her wonderful husband, Greg, and two amazing children, Anna Reese and Jack. In her free time, she enjoys spending lots of time with her family, reading, going on walks, and traveling.
