106 Jefferson (106 Jefferson Street South, Huntsville)

Located in downtown Huntsville in the heart of everything, Dawn loves that this adorable hotel features some of the most spectacular original artwork and design not to mention Huntsville’s premier rooftop bar, Baker and Able, and a full-service restaurant, The Revivalist.

The GunRunner (310 East Tennessee Street, Florence)

Located in Florence, 90 minutes west of Huntsville in the heart of Alabama’s music history, this boutique hotel was lovingly created by a couple wanting to preserve the heritage of the Shoals. Each room is decorated to represent different aspects of the area. Rooms are available to rent individually or run of the house rental is available. Dawn recommends securing a reservation in the Billy Reid suite that was designed by acclaimed fashion designer Billy Reid who calls Florence home.

AC Hotel Downtown (435 Williams Avenue Southwest, Huntsville)

Location, location, location. This hotel overlooks Huntsville’s Big Spring Park. Dawn recommends enjoying a cocktail at BarVista, the mezzanine-level hotel bar on a warm day.

The Westin/Element Huntsville (Bridge Street Town Center, 6800 Governors West, Huntsville)

Located in an outdoor shopping mall featuring restaurants, shops and a movie theater, Westin and it’s sister property at the same location are convenient to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Dawn reminds us that those signature Westin beds are just so comfortable.
