LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Volume 1o is a celebration of the people behind exceptional local businesses in Hunt Country — the entrepreneurs, makers, and artists who have followed their passions and share a commitment to our community.

I hope that this book will pique your curiosity and inspire you to visit these businesses — an excuse to say hello to an old friend or a reason to discover new favorites!

There is a sense of community that has formed among our small businesses in Hunt Country. To be a part of it — to highlight and bring it all together in a beautiful book — is an immense privilege.

Of course I haven’t done it alone, far from it. There is a talented team behind this book. To our lead photographer Ronda Gregorio for not only her dedication to and mastery in getting the perfect shot, but for being a joy to collaborate with. To our contributing photographer Victoria Heer who traveled from San Francisco to shoot some incredible images for us. To Kristen Monthei, our photo retoucher, and to Lana and Eileen at HQ who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring Volume 10 to life. Thank you!

There is a lot that goes into running a publication and I could not do it without the team that supports me and our members on daily basis: Assistant Editor Caroline Fout, the talented voice behind all of our editorial content and my all around right hand. And Hayley Verdeyen our contributing content creator who keeps our reels and Insta game on point.

We launched Volume 10 on November 9th with over the top style and great fainfair only possible via the generosity and expertise of Terry Kaye Events and all our sponsors and members who made the party so incredibly memorable and absolutely beautiful. Enjoy these photos and details, we are still swooning!

VOL. 10 LAUNCH PARTY

All of these wonderful images were shot by the immensely talented Lindsay Mack Photography and Anna and Mateo Photography. We were lucky enough to be able to host this event at the spectacular Glenstone Gardens.

Above: The amazing tablescaping was a team effort. The master of stems, petals and roots Jenn Pineau of Nature Composed provided and styled stunning floral arrangements, while Black Garlic Catering arrived with an elevated charcuterie board and dazzled us with delicious bites. Bella Villa Antiques and Vintage Rentals adorned our entire party with gorgeous antique and vintage furniture. Stevi’s Cookies created the most amazing, intricate custom cookies made just for this event. The Silver Tones Swing band provided the musical entertainment and they did NOT disappoint!

Above: The color palette for the party evoked a muted version of springtime hues, with a hint of oranges and reds to bring a lasting brightness to the changing (chillier!) season. We wanted warmth AND a pop of color.

Above: Editor Nelina Loiselle with Volume 10 member and launch party event planner Terry Kaye. Terry Kaye of Terry Kaye Events was absolutely instrumental in designing and planning our launch party. With Terry at the helm of Vol. 10’s launch the event was taken to the next level and we were able to have fun knowing everything was in Terry’s capable hands. Between Terry and Matilda Reuter Engle of Glenstone Gardens impeccable taste, it was the most perfect, fantastical night.
