Meet Meg Stith

Originally from Boston, Meg comes to us with retail experience at two local shops (Muse Shoe Studio and Diggs Designs). Her time at both locations inspired her to want to help the small business community on a larger scale – enter The Scout Guide Greenville. Meg has worked at both boutique firms (Boston, Massachusetts and Columbia, South Carolina) and large agencies (Washington, D.C.) in her 10+ years in marketing. She moved to Greenville with her family in 2021 after falling in love with its vibrant culture, historic charm, and family friendly nature. She lives off of Augusta Street with her husband Boyd, four-year-old Finley, and English bulldog Teddy. With a passion for creative storytelling and love of all things local, she is honored and excited to help showcase the talented personalities behind the businesses that make Greenville so special.

Dawn and David live in Huntsville with their son, Andrew, who will be attending Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in the fall. They both practice pilates, ski, and love to travel (Abacos, Japan, and Portugal are on their 2023 calendar). They enjoy taking their English Springer Spaniel MooMoo on hikes around Huntsville and near their newly renovated mountain home in Sewanee.

Meg’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

The Community: Greenville is full of genuine, welcoming, and spirited people. You never meet a stranger, and everyone is supportive of one another. I have encountered the most delightful individuals with fascinating stories in my time working at two different retail locations here, and many of those customers are now friends.

Reason 2

The Backdrop: Greenville is an urban oasis. You can experience nature while immersing yourself in the local culture. I love to walk Main Street with my family to experience the art installations and shop, while simultaneously taking in the beauty of Reedy River Falls. It is magical.

Reason 3

The Culinary Scene: Greenville is a food (and cocktail) lover’s paradise, and there is so much growth happening. The vast selection makes me feel as if I’m strolling the streets of New York City. There’s a hot new oyster bar, fantastic French cuisine, and a boutique cocktail lounge all within close proximity. Everything is walkable, and date nights are never boring!

WORDS TO LIVE BY:  Happiness is enjoying the little things.
