Meet Ginna Wilbanks
Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Ginna began her love affair with Dallas as a student at Southern Methodist University. Upon graduating with a major in art history, she spent several years in New York working for the likes of Proenza Schouler and Christie’s Auction House in addition to earning her Master’s Degree in American Fine and Decorative Art. With this expanded knowledge of art and design, Ginna made the decision to return to Dallas, where, as a longtime fan of The Scout Guide, she was thrilled when the opportunity arose to step into the role of Editor.
As Editor of The Scout Guide Dallas, Ginna loves highlighting the fabulous business owners and scoping out Dallas’s dynamic art, food, and fashion scenes.
Ginna’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

The Vibrant and Diverse Food. “The list of A+ restaurants is seemingly endless. Grab brunch over in Bishop Arts, dinner in Deep Ellum, and a drink in the Harwood District.

The Shopping. “Spend a weekend wandering the Design District for gorgeous antiques and interior décor. Peruse for cutting edge fashion downtown on Main Street or in idyllic Highland Park Village.”

The Arts. “A visit to the Dallas Arts District is an absolute must. The number of arts organizations throughout the city has grown immensely over the past decade and is truly impressive. You can easily spend an entire day exploring the collections of the Nasher Sculpture Museum and the Crow Collection of Asian Art, or catch a performance at the Meyerson Symphony Center or the Moody Performance Hall.”
