Meet Abigail Fredelake
As the daughter of an Army Colonel, Abigail spent her childhood in a variety of cities and countries. But over the years spent abroad, her family kept strong ties to Ohio and frequently visited relatives in Columbus.
Abigail attended Auburn University, where she studied French and fashion merchandising. During her studies, she worked in Paris for a luxury retailer, and so began her love for the luxury industry and interest in building client relationships. After graduating from Auburn, Abigail moved to Columbus for a job in merchandising for a global retailer. She’s called Columbus her home for the past 8 years and could not imagine being anywhere else.
Abigail discovered the beauty of The Scout Guide while planning her wedding in Jackson, Wyoming. She used the city’s Volume 1 Guide as her Save-the-Date, which generated a very enthusiastic response from her guests.
Abigail is passionate about her community and loves discovering the new and wonderful things Columbus has to offer. Abigail and her husband, Andrew, live in New Albany with their English golden retriever, Carl.

Diverse Neighborhoods. “Columbus is made up of ‘little towns’ within a big city. Each one has something unique to offer, and it is such a joy spending a day discovering their amazing qualities. Whether it’s German Village, The Short North, Dublin, Bexley, or Powell, you will leave feeling like you’ve gotten a little taste of our beautiful city.”
Local Flavors. “We have some of the best breweries in the country. They all offer a level of sophistication, too. Spend a day touring a couple breweries, have lunch at one of our many fantastic restaurants, and don’t forget to stop at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.”
Local Pride. “You will meet so many people who move to Columbus and soon make it their forever home. Try to check out some of the things locals love: THE Ohio State University (anything they do), supporting local philanthropies (Pelotonia, The New Albany Classic), and the Arts (festivals galore, Balletmet, Picnic with the Pops).”
