Meet Haley Dalton

Born in Chicago, Haley Dalton spent her early childhood in Birmingham, Michigan, before returning to the Chicago area and moving to Winnetka, Illinois, at 13. Haley currently resides in Bucktown, Chicago, with her husband and dog.

After graduating from Miami University, Haley moved to Lincoln Park and began working in Real Estate for @properties, both as an agent and marketing assistant. Haley later moved to New York City where she worked for a real estate publication and gained experience in all aspects of the marketing and publication cycle from conception to production.

When the opportunity presented itself to move back to Chicago a few years later, Haley was excited to once again be close to family and friends, and to introduce her now-husband, Jim, to all Chicago has to offer. In Chicago, Haley continued her career in real estate marketing at Compass. Her years in real estate have given Haley an appreciation and understanding for small business owners, making meaningful connections, and the power of local marketing.

Haley is beyond thrilled to be launching The Scout Guide in Chicago, as it’s a dream a long time in the making; She started collecting copies of TSG while on vacation with family in Palm Beach over 10 years ago! Haley could not be more delighted and grateful for the opportunity to be an active advocate for Chicago’s own artists, small business owners, and local entrepreneurs!

Haley’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

Chicago Summers. “There’s no place like Chicago in the summer. The energy completely shifts and the city feels so alive. Whether it’s beaches, boating, baseball games, festivals, or the never- ending supply of outdoor patios and rooftops, Chicagoans are booked and busy all summer long.”

Reason 2

The Dining Scene. “The dining scene in Chicago is so vibrant and diverse, there’s truly something for everyone. There’s so many new openings lately, every time I check off a meal on my must-try-list I always have a new spot to add. Logan Square, specifically, takes up half my list!”

Reason 3

The People. “The people are what make Chicago what it is. It’s a great mix of big city bold and Midwest nice. It’s one of the most culturally diverse cities in the country, which is evident in our dining, shopping, arts, and so much more.”
