Meet Lisa Sherrill

Lisa Sherrill moved from Atlanta, Georgia, where she was a Human Resource director for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2003. Since relocating, Lisa has embraced her favorite city and has enjoyed serving on several boards while raising her two sons, Jack and Will.

Lisa brings her love for Charlotte to The Scout Guide Charlotte, where she now serves as Editor-In-Chief. When she is not Scouting, she enjoys long walks on the beach with her dog, during which she likes to collect shells along the way. Lisa also loves to needlepoint, which she considers a calming hobby during the evenings after a very long day. She loves entertaining family and friends around a table full of laughter and love, and has secretly always wanted to be a famous chef. Lisa has recently started to take up golf, and although she is fairly new to the sport she hopes to improve her game so she can keep up with her boys.

Lisa’s Favorite Reasons to Visit

Reason 1

The welcoming vibe. “Charlotte is a big city that also feels like a small town! It opens its doors to new residents, and you feel at home as soon as you arrive.”

Reason 2

The location. “You have the luxury of being close to the beach and mountains, which are both equally beautiful and offer breathtaking views.”

Reason 3

The food, culture, and shopping. “The restaurants, museums, and boutiques are all wonderful!”
