The Scout Guide Brazos Valley Editor and owner Kathryn Hinnant

Meet Kathryn Hinnant

Houston native Kathryn Hinnant, infused with Aggie pride, has returned to her familial roots in the Brazos Valley. Launching her freelance business during her Texas A&M University days, Kathryn fully embraced entrepreneurship post-graduation in 2020, establishing Monarch Atelier, a boutique marketing firm in Houston. Upon discovering The Scout Guide Houston and its potential to showcase Monarch, Kathryn seamlessly integrated the publication into her portfolio, managing both ventures with passion and precision.

With a deep connection to the Brazos Valley and a vision to foster community connections, Kathryn seized the opportunity to expand The Scout Guide into this vibrant region. As editor, she relishes the chance to unite diverse individuals and businesses, enriching the cultural tapestry of Houston.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Kathryn volunteers with The Junior League of Houston, and serves as a committeeman for the Houston Livestock and Rodeo. She enjoys spending time with her pets, Mace, a German Shepherd and her cat, Fiona and indulges her passion for food by frequenting beloved spots from her college days, including Gumby’s, The Dixie Chicken, and Christopher’s World Grille in Bryan-College Station. She also delights in exploring Saturday farmer’s markets and immersing herself in the local arts scene.
