Spring Cleaning with Mint Cleaning Co.

Spring is upon us once again. While we may rejoice in the longer days and budding trees, there is one component that can be a bit of a drag: spring cleaning. If your dust bunny pile under the couch has reached maximum capacity, fear not. The friendly team at Mint Cleaning Co. is here to help! Trevor Schultz and his assembly of scrupulous scrubbers have been keeping the Treasure Valley shining for 7 years. What started with window cleaning has steadily taken off into a successful operation that prioritizes care and respect in each job they take on. Keeping it local is key: “You may ‘see our trucks all over the place,’ but we are in fact a very small company that values quality over quantity.” So what does a professional clean look like from a cleaning crew for spring cleaning? Tongue twisters aside, we got the scoop from the source.

  1. Don’t neglect floors

“We can never recommend vacuuming enough! Especially after a long dreary winter where we’re stuck inside,” says Trevor. “We’re here for all the other stuff that takes a little more finesse to remove, but never forget that there’s power in the vacuum!” If floorwork is giving Cinderella vibes that you simply cannot abide, call up Mint to schedule a deep carpet cleaning. “We are an IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification to the unaware)-certified firm… We also service a lot of upholstery as we are one of the few companies in The Valley that are trained in the proper care and cleaning of delicate and natural fiber upholstery.”

** For fine rugs or carpets, Trevor recommends professional cleanings from Fiber Specialties Fine Rug Cleaning Company.

  1. Breathe easy

“Keep up with air filter changes,” suggests Trevor. “This is especially applicable if you have hard floors in your house instead of carpet… which acts like a giant filter for the dust and allergens that you find in your home. If you have a home with primarily [hard floors], you’re going to find a lot more of that dry particulate matter in your air filters. Keep them swapped regularly and maybe even look into an electrostatic air filter to get a little bit more filter efficiency.”

  1. Plan ahead

Trevor recommends getting those more arduous cleaning appointments booked. “Get your professional cleaning items scheduled early! Most people wait until the last minute to get services scheduled. It’s always better to plan ahead!” Trevor’s days of window care may be behind him, but he highlights a partner company, Dean’s Window Cleaning, to help with these needs. “Their service offering for windows also includes screen repair, gutter cleaning and house washing, and we see them as a great asset to complement our clientele. In this new referral partnership, we are offering $25 off a service.”

If the to-do list of  spring cleaning items has left you feeling overwhelmed, give Mint Cleaning Co. a call for the heavy lifting. “There are many ways that Mint can help with your spring cleaning! Our services include, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, laminate and LVP cleaning and tile and grout floor cleaning. We also offer the best fabric protection service available to help protect your furniture from those unexpected moments in life.”
