Meet Lori Lorenz

Born and raised in Michigan, Lori Lorenz currently resides just outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan, with her husband, two daughters, and a dog-like cat.

Lori easily fell in love and began calling Ann Arbor home 15 years ago as she worked in the community, supported her husband as he ran a local business, sent her daughter to the sweetest preschool, and met many kind people through fundraising events. The “little big town feel,” scenic tree views, compelling art and architecture, gourmet grocery stores, curated boutiques and spas, and Michigan games only added to her enthusiasm!

Lori’s career path has been varied, as she’s followed her passions. She had a keen interest in human anatomy and after receiving degrees in health sciences and psychology from Central Michigan University, Lori went on to receive her doctorate degree in physical therapy from Oakland University. Lori practiced in an outpatient physical therapy setting in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas for 10 years before a shift in her family’s schedule led her to become a dedicated stay-at-home mom. With a lot left to give, her love for caring and connecting with her community, along with her passion for style and design, she began to renovate homes in Ann Arbor and opened her own styling concierge service.

When the opportunity arose to own a franchise with The Scout Guide she had zero hesitation. Lori had experienced The Scout Guide as a traveler and knew Ann Arbor deserved a place on the map to showcase all of its notable offerings. It seemed she had prepared her entire life for this occasion. Lori could not be more excited and grateful for the opportunity to be an active advocate for Ann Arbor’s own artists, small business owners, and local entrepreneurs!
