Crisp, colorful, and the kickoff to a busy season, November offers a variety of events that celebrate the beauty of autumn and the excitement of the upcoming holidays. From a film festival in Memphis to a candlelit tour of Mount Vernon in Alexandria, here’s what we’re looking forward to in some of our scouted cities in the coming month.

Alexandria, Virginia

On November 24^th and 25^th, George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate will hold Mount Vernon by Candlelight. Baltimore, Maryland

Wine and shopping enthusiasts will not want to miss Vino in Vogue at Harbor East in Baltimore on November 4 from 12 to 4 p.m. Shoppers are invited to sample a variety of wines from experts at their sidewalk stations in between browsing boutiques and enjoying complimentary lite bites at the local retailers. {Find local recommendations for what to do and see in Baltimore here.}  

Dallas, Texas

On November 5^th, the George W. Bush Presidential Center will host Sisters First: A Conversation with Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager. Jackson Hole, Wyoming

With a theme of “Pushing Beyond Your Comfort Zone,” the 2017 Women in Leadership Summit will take place at The Center for the Arts in Jackson Hole. Memphis, Tennessee

The 20^th annual Indie Memphis Film Festival returns to the city on November 1^st-6^th, bringing filmmakers, actors, and indie film aficionados together. Miami, Florida

Drawing crowds of hundreds of thousands each year, the Miami Book Fair will take place this year from November 12^th-19^th when over 450 authors from around the world will descend on the city to discuss their work. Minneapolis, Minnesota

Saturday, November 4th, the Children’s Cancer Research Fund will host Dawn of a Dream, its annual black tie gala, during which attendees will hear inspiring stories from patients and researchers, as well as enjoy a silent and live auction, a sit-down dinner, a bourbon tasting, and dancing. Northwest Arkansas

Beginning on November 18^th, The Lights of the Ozarks is the perfect event to get you in the holiday spirit.
