1.

Relaxed

Eleanor Citizens of Humanity Dahlia Jean

We’re breathing a sigh of relief that uber-skinny jeans have been replaced with a more flattering, and comfortable option. Chelsea Sarver, owner of Eleanor in Louisville, Colorado, confirms that a looser fit denim like these Citizen of Humanity Dahlia Jeans or AGOLDE Dame Jeans will be all the rage this year. She recommends keeping it easy and breezy with a classic style like the Frank + Eileen Silvio Button-Up or going a bit boho with a crochet tee.

2.

Dark Blue Denim

Pivot Closed Dark Blue Veola Jeans

“Deep indigo denim has the power to elevate almost any look,” Nicci Hicks, founder and buyer of Pivot in Columbus, Ohio, say. She suggests opting for a tailored dark denim, à la the Closed Dark Blue Veola Jeans, paired with the Lola Blazer. “Whether styled together or as separates, these pieces are chic enough for work, yet casual enough for weekend brunch.”

3.

Pleated

Eleanor Matilda Trouser

A nod to the current preppy trends that are reigning supreme, pleated denim adds the perfect amount of tailoring to elevate your look this season. Sarver suggests taking this style for a spin with the AMO Matilda Trouser or shorts from AGOLDE. Feminine pieces complement this look well, so throwing on a sassy sweater and a heeled mule is a sure-fire way to achieve the ultimate cool-girl outfit.

4.

Wide Leg

Six MN High Rise Wide Leg

Serving up a stylish, effortless vibe, fans of this off-duty style know proportions are paramount when it comes to wide-leg denim. Bri Johnson and Jill Zafke, owners and lead stylists of SIX MN in Excelsior, Minnesota, advise those who sport this trend to keep the top half of your look very tailored with a fitted tee or tank to balance out the volume on the bottom.

5.

Cargo

Casual and sporty, cargo jeans are the unexpected style star of the season. Zafke recommends pairing these pants with a hip sneaker for a laid-back look or dressing them up with a heel and blazer for a night on the town.

6.

Palazzo

The Next Le Palazzo Crop

Jenny Carr, owner of The Next in Covington, Louisiana, is seeing palazzo pants everywhere and confirms they will remain big through summer and fall. A personal fan of the style, she pairs them with a white tee, cardi, flats, a great belt and a Jerome Dreyfuss bag.

7.

Barrel Leg

Pivot Classic Wash Denim Sid Jean

“Despite its somewhat divisive reputation, barrel leg denim is set to remain a fashion staple well into and beyond 2024,” Hicks says. Her barrel leg of choice is the Sid Jeans by Tibi, which she styles with a fitted top. Choosing the right pair can provide a bit of editorial flair to your look, while still being able to bask in the comfort of a simple jean and t-shirt look.

8.

Lightweight stretch

With a focus on wearability, especially during warmer months, a lightweight, stretch denim proves to be a style worth stocking up on. Melony Huber, owner and design director of the online boutique La Peony Clothing, opts for the seasonless and lightweight Embellished Trouser to achieve this look. “Throw on a racerback tank or a trendy linen vest for the ultimate low-maintenance, high-style look.”
