About TSG Jackson Editor Caroline King:
Before landing in Jackson, Mississippi, Caroline King grew up in Hattiesburg and traveled to Oxford for college. While at Ole Miss, she was always hunting for unique finds on the Square and loved everything that defined the small town. After graduation, she faced a tough decision to move out of state for a job offer or continue growing her roots in Mississippi. She chose to stay in Mississippi and never looked back.
A born networker, Caroline has always been interested in connecting like-minded businesses and individuals. She has a passion for cross-promoting style and design and coordinating events for her clients.
Caroline has been married for two years to a wonderful man who also happens to be a Jackson native. Her husband, Scott, is a big advocate for all things local and always gives her the extra push to think outside the box. Together, they have an adopted cat named Nico and love spending time with their two beautiful nieces.
When Caroline isn’t working she enjoys playing tennis at The Country Club of Jackson. On the weekends, you can usually find her in Lululemon attire during the day or in a dress with a glass of red wine for girls’ night out.
Caroline’s three favorite reasons to visit Jackson, Mississippi:
- Warm Weather. “Jackson has a vast amount of outdoor activities: tennis, golf, award-winning bass fishing, hunting, horseback riding, biking down the Natchez Trace, lake days on the Reservoir, Lake Caroline, Reunion or Lake Cavalier.”
- Traditions. “Sweet tea, Southern food, and blues/jazz music are traditions we take seriously in Jackson.”
- Events. “We have so many fun events, like Fondren’s First Thursday, Dueling Hall Concerts, and ‘Thirsty Thursday’ Braves baseball games.”
Words Caroline lives by:
