What 4 Scouted Fashion Experts Are Wearing This Spring

While glossy magazines and apparel-focused Instagram feeds are offering no shortage of sartorial inspiration right now, it’s the local fashion experts who really know spring’s must-have new pieces and how to work them into our everyday looks. Recently, we checked in with four scouted style mavens across the country to find out which key items they’re most excited about this season. Here, they discuss the chic additions to their spring 2022 closets and offer advice for how to look on-trend in the coming months. To find a scouted boutique or wardrobe stylist near you, browse The Scout Guide Directory.

WHO: Jodi Sullivan, owner, The Atelier
WHERE: Mountain Brook, Alabama
WHAT SHE’S WEARING: We’re finally moving forward out of the pandemic, attending cocktail parties and weddings, but we’ve also discovered that entertaining in the home is not only the more intimate option, but allows you to really set your own tone for the evening with fashion and tablescapes. That calls for a fabulous dress, and this Silvia Tcherassi Sindone dress covers both. Exposed shoulders and intricately placed cut-outs are huge for SS22, as well as the gorgeous color palettes of lilac, canary yellow, and hot pink.”

WHO: Tiffany Robinson, owner of Barbara/Jean
WHERE: Little Rock, Arkansas
WHAT SHE’S WEARING:I always get excited about a new season and this spring is no exception! One of the trends I’m most excited about is suiting. I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I’ve added a suit to my wardrobe! This version from Cinq a Sept is a new take on the classic, with a high-waisted, cropped wide leg pant and a three-quarter sleeve jacket. The fabric is a dark indigo denim, and it has plenty of stretch so it’s a great way to transition out of the more ‘relaxed’ styles we’ve become accustomed to. It’s also a great way to incorporate denim, but in a new, fresh way. You’ll be seeing denim interpreted into lots of new shapes this season. A white sandal is also a must for spring, and this Jimmy Choo wedge is going to be perfect with so many different outfits. I love the little pearl studs on the straps—they make it just dressy enough, without being too serious.” Shop Barbara/Jean’s collection here, and to inquire about any of the pieces shown above, call

WHO: Rosie McNamara, stylist and wardrobe consultant at Rosie Mac Style
WHERE: Wilson, Wyoming
WHAT SHE’S WEARING: This spring I plan on mixing the two elements of glam and casual for a perfect daytime look. I love a statement top like this one from Philadelphia designer Madison Chamberlain. Paired with a midi Cynthia Rowley skirt with a hint of ruffle, the look is perfectly accessorized with fabulous Chanel dad sandals that are comfortable, yet glamorous and casual at the same time. A straw bag, like this one by Loewe, is essential to take you from spring to summer—for the farmer markets, the beach, the pool, picnics, and beyond. You can easily take this look from day to night with a quick swap of shoes to a dressier heel and a clutch instead of the tote. Hermes Collier de Chien cuff and Cartier bracelets complete these looks.” When shopping locally, Rosie turns to Terra Boutique to meet her needs. “Come spring you will find everything you need for resort wear and increasingly warm temps there. From tunics, statement tops similar to the one I’m wearing here, flirty skirts, dresses, fun sandals, and more,” she says. Learn more about Rosie and her personal shopping and styling services here

WHO: Aissa Castillo, creative director at The Scout Guide Huntsville
WHERE: Huntsville, Alabama
WHAT SHE’S WEARING: “A pop of color is an instant mood booster for me and I am so excited to wear more of it in the spring. I tend to gravitate towards more of the neutral tones during fall and winter, and adding more color back into my wardrobe is something I’m looking forward to. My go-to local shops are Carriage House, Personal Couture, and Elitaire. For this look, I chose to wear a wide leg pink trouser paired with a white button down tunic. It looks like the sweater vest trend is staying for the spring season as well, so I layered this embroidered ribbed sweater to add more texture to the look.” Discover more stylish shops in Huntsville, Alabama, here.
