Meet the MOM - Angela Sandler

We know you know the business woman Angela Sandler, now meet Angela the MOM!

Most little girls played house and had baby dolls, how do you remember your childhood ‘play’ parenthood?

I remember having one of those plastic kitchens with the ice trays that went in the freezer.  I didn’t really love babies but I had lots of Cabbage Patch Kids (15!) that all had specific names, a wardrobe (handmade by my Mom), accessories, and life stories.

Did you always know you wanted to be a mother?

I always knew that I wanted to have kids and being an only child I always knew I wanted to have at least 2.  I was never really around younger kids when I was a kid so I knew very little about them 🙂 but I knew having a family was something that I really wanted in my life.

Tell us about your journey to Motherhood.

My journey to Motherhood wasn’t the smoothest but it worked out OK!  Going through infertility with both kids is not for the faint of heart but it makes it all worth it in the end.  I loved our doctor and going to daily morning doctor appointments just became normal.  It definitely made me appreciate the journey!

Tell us your favorite part of being MOM to Joie and Grant.

I love having these really cool little people that I get to live and laugh with that keep me on my toes and I love watching them in action in the world, achieving their goals, laughing, and learning.

What is the best advice your own Mother shared with you.

Family is everything.

Do you have any advice you would give a new Mother?

Don’t get too in the weeds or upset about a lot- this too shall pass (and fairly quickly).  Think about if you will even remember something in 2 weeks- and if the answer is no- let it go.
