Member Spotlight: Q & A with Rockstar Realtors Gretchen Hudgens & Lacy Harrison of Windermere Real Estate
There are a lot of realtors to choose from in the Park City area and when we are Scouting for TSG Park City, we do our homework to make sure we are recommending truly talented professionals with a proven track record as well as a stellar reputation. Gretchen Hudgens and Lacy Harrison of Windermere Real Estate definitely fit the bill and we are so proud to have them once again grace the inside back cover of our guide. We recently sat down with Gretchen and Lacy for a little Q&A to learn more about them and their business:
TSG PARK CITY: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT WORKING IN PARK CITY REAL ESTATE?
G & L: Working in Park City Real Estate offers a unique and rewarding experience. As Realtors we have the unique opportunity to connect clients from all over the world with stunning properties while sharing our local knowledge. From cozy mountain cabins to elegant ski-in, ski-out estates there is something for everyone. Our market is dynamic with demand driven by both seasonal and year-round residents. The satisfaction of helping and supporting our community with their real estate goals, finding their dream mountain retreat, and being a part of a vibrant community is what we value most.
TSG PARK CITY: WHAT MAKES YOU TWO SUCH A GREAT TEAM?
G: Lacy and I are such a great team because we each have unique skill sets to bring to our clients that are critical in their real estate journey. Lacy has the ability and patience to talk through and help clients understand the nuances of a deal. Also, I secretly (not so secretly now) call her our ‘velvet hammer’. I have never met someone who could deliver hard news or find away through a difficult situation better. She is an absolute force!
L: Let’s talk about Gretchen! Gretchen has been in the business for over a decade, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Park City Board of Realtors and knows the market and the players better than most! Gretchen stands out as one of the most educated and knowledgeable realtors in town and someone that everyone respects and loves to work with. We complement each other seamlessly, communicate effectively and operate with the utmost respect and trust for one another.
TSG PARK CITY: WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR SPECIALTY OR EXPERTISE?
G & L: We employ a concierge-style approach to assisting our clients with their real estate needs ensuring dedicated and personalized service. We truly believe in going above and beyond for every client catering to their unique needs and preferences by actively listening, offering tailored options and handling all aspects of the buying or selling process. We understand that this can be a stressful process and that most clients are managing their transaction from afar, so we work to over communicate, have extreme attention to detail, exceed client expectations and ensure a (relatively) stress-free and delightful experience.
TSG PARK CITY: ANY UPCOMING NEW AREAS/DEVELOPMENTS THAT YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT?
G & L: Mayflower! Mayflower is the first new ski resort in over 40 years to be developed in North America. With over 4300 acres of skiable terrain that connects and joins with the iconic Deer Valley, this development will change the face of Park City and be a true four-seasons playground. Skiers will delight with over 3200 feet of vertical, 18 new lifts, ski beach and a true ski village to enjoy apres ski. In addition to its winter activities, guests will enjoy year-round fun. Clients will have the option to enjoy a short-term stay at one of the five hotels to invest into long-term enjoyment with a single-family home, condo or have the opportunity to create their own dream with raw land. This is unlike anything we’ve ever seen, how could we not be excited?
TSG PARK CITY: ANY ADVICE FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS IN THE CURRENT MARKET?
G & H : In the current market, both buyers and seller need to navigate with caution and strategy. For buyers, it is crucial to be well informed about the local market conditions, latest mortgage rates and options such as buy-downs and credits at closing. Buyers should work with a Realtor to help them conduct thorough research on properties, have a clear budget in mind and to help them through contract to completion. For sellers, presenting your property in the best possible condition is essential. This includes staging, making necessary repairs, and setting a competitive price. Be prepared for negotiations and remain flexible. Additionally consider the timing as the market can fluctuate. In both cases, working with an experienced Realtor can be invaluable to guide you through these ever-changing circumstances.
