Easter Weekend in Northwest Arkansas: A Mom's Perspective
As Easter quickly approaches, our household is buzzing with excitement. The kids are all hyped up about the Easter bunny, and I’m feeling a bit sentimental thinking about the memories we’ll make during one of our favorite family holidays. With four of us to get ready, every little detail becomes part of our cherished tradition. So, let me take you through our plans for Easter weekend in Northwest Arkansas, where we’ll be living, loving, and keeping it local.
1) Focus on Attire
First things first – finding the perfect Easter dress that will allow me to feel remarkably polished yet ready to tackle a busy Sunday with kids in tow! Maude and By Request are wonderful local shops for on-trend yet elevated wardrobe staples and specialty items. Their curated collections make it easy to find something that makes me feel confident and ready to celebrate.
2) Curating Kids’ Easter Baskets
Pulling together the kids’ Easter baskets is a highlight we all look forward to. Dilly Dally’s, Kindness + Joy, Shindig Paperie, and Presley Paige offer an array of adorable treasures that light up their faces on Easter morning. From toys to treats and charming stationery, these shops have everything I need to make their baskets extra special.
3) Easter Brunch Ideas
Brunch is a beloved Easter tradition, and we’re spoiled for choice with Ella’s Table at the Inn at Carnall Hall, The Hive at 21C Hotel Bentonville, Mirabella’s Table in Rogers, and Hail Fellow Well Met in Johnson. Their diverse menus and welcoming atmospheres make brunch a delightful family affair whether you’re up for a full dining experience or simply landing for a quick bite. Gathering around a table, whatever route you choose, is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the presence of family and friends in celebration of this special holiday.
4) Flowers + Festive Treats
When planning our Easter weekend fresh flowers and a little something sweet are always on the list. Fleurish consistently impresses with their stunning arrangements, bringing the beauty of spring indoors and adding a touch of softness to our home. Meanwhile, Shelby Lynn’s, Alexander Baking Co, and Baked by Kori hit all “sweet tooth” high notes with their delicious dessert selections. From beautifully decorated cookies to intricately detailed cakes, these treats add an extra layer of sweetness to our Easter celebrations.
5) Family Fun Activities
No Easter weekend is complete without an easter egg hunt! Our calendars are marked for the Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt at Mt Hebron Park on Friday night. Our kids will be elated to run wild while searching for easter eggs under the starry sky. Another sweet adventure for us is picking tulips at PerspectAbility’s Tulip Farm. True Colors Farm is Northwest Arkansas’ only non-profit Tulip Farm which offers a colorful and picturesque experience. It’s a wonderful landscape for making memories and capturing them too.
As we get ready for Easter weekend in Northwest Arkansas, each moment spent together as a family fills our hearts with immense joy and gratitude. From finding the perfect dress to creating memorable experiences, Easter is a time for treasured traditions and making precious memories with those we hold near and dear.
