Here in Northwest Arkansas, we invite you to join us as we raise awareness and extend support to our children, with the Children’s Safety Center leading the charge. Since its establishment in 1997, the Children’s Safety Center of Washington County has been committed to fortifying the prevention, detection, investigation, and treatment of child abuse. Through their dedicated efforts, the center provides a haven for children, empowering them to navigate through trauma toward a path of hope, trust, and restoration.

Pinwheels For Prevention

Pinwheels for Prevention, observed nationally throughout April, serves as a gentle reminder of our collective responsibility to safeguard children from physical and sexual abuse. Banners and signs with pinwheels adorn storefronts and homes across the country, evoking memories of childhood innocence and emphasizing the importance of protecting our children from harsh realities.

Every child who enters the Children’s Safety Center leaves behind a lasting imprint—a handprint on the wall symbolizing their journey toward healing. These handprints stand as testaments to resilience and dreams for a brighter tomorrow.
