It’s almost time for the March madness of skiing and winter adventures in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We’ve put together a “Jackson Hole Spring Break Cheat Sheet” of our favorite places in town to shop, explore and entertain couples and families as you travel to our quaint mountain western town.

ll ON THE SLOPES ll

SNOW KING RESORT – Located at the base of Snow King Mountain, a few blocks from downtown and just 11 miles from the Jackson Hole Airport, Snow King Resort’s hotel rooms, suites, and luxury vacation condominiums boasts breathtaking views of the Teton Mountain Range and features a wide variety of on-site activities and amenities. This is the family friendly resort offers skiing, tubing, snow coaster is pet friendly and hosts a new state of the art spa to relax in.

JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN RESORT – Located at Teton Village, approximately 25 minutes from downtown Jackson, it is home to the mountain that keeps you engaged with endless levels of adventure around every bend.  With plenty of hotels, restaurants and nightlife you will experience skiing the west at its height. The resort offers many types of ski lessons for the little ones, novices to expert skiers.

TARGHEE MOUNTAIN RESORT – Located across the hill in Driggs, Idaho, this is a not to miss ski hill with plenty of powder for the hearty skier. There are plenty of other activities locally from dogsledding, to cross country skiing to back country skiing as well.

Ice Skating in Jackson Hole

  • Town Square – Glide beside Jackson’s famous elk antler arches and beneath the rotating Million Dollar Cowboy Bar sign every evening as the town square is converted to a festive outdoor ice rink. Rental skates available.
  • Rodeo Grounds — Teton County’s rodeo arena trades bulls for blades come winter when the sawdust grounds are flooded for an ice rink that hosts pick up hockey and broomball leagues as well as public skating each day.
  • Snow King Event Center — Jackson’s only indoor rink, the Snow King Sports and Event center hosts Jackson’s semipro hockey team, the Moose, but includes time every day of the winter for public skating.
  • Jackson Hole Mountain Resort — Set beside an ice sculpture garden and playground, skating at Jackson Hole’s lighted ice rink is a fantastic way to while away a few hours, or unwind after a day on the slopes. Rentals available rinkside.
