8 Things Nick Kulik Is Loving Right Now

As ever the lovers of the people behind the small businesses, we want to recognize these individuals as excellent #scouts themselves. They are some of the best sources for recommendations local and beyond. We love to get to know each of them in this capacity and hope you do too! With that, we recently caught up with Nick Kulik of The Law Offices of Nicholas Kulik to find out what he is really excited about these days. Nick shares his current favs—from who he turns to to “suit up” to who he is loving—so read more below!

1. Where I’m Shopping

As a lawyer, I often need to suit up. My go to is Trevor Furbay Bespoke in Mariemont. Trevor, Robert, and George will make you feel like a million bucks.

2. Where I’m Working Out

I’m an Ironman and ultrarunner and an all-around workout junkie. When I’m not on the Peloton or otherwise working out in our home gym, you can find me at Cincinnati Sports Club. They have everything I need and more from weights to a great pool during the summer. My wife and I are also trying to learn how to play racquetball. Tips on the game are appreciated!

3. Where I’m Going

There are so many unique spots in Cincinnati. One of the most unique – and the brainchild of my good friend, Josh Heuser, is Ghost Baby. If you have not yet been, it’s a must visit. Ghost Baby is a stunning underground bar with a speakeasy aesthetic. The most amazing part? It is located four stories under Vine Street in the tunnels formerly used by a Cincinnati brewing company.

4. What I’m Watching

I’ve always loved sci-fi and have gone to see Dune: Part Two in theaters twice now. I also just began reading the Dune book series. Both movies are definitely part of my top 5 all-time favorite movies.

5. What I’m Eating

My wife and I love to go out to dinner just the two of us or with friends. Our go-to restaurants are Delwood and Mita’s

6. What I’m Doing

Most of my time is spent building my family law practice and tending to my clients. When I’m not in court or in the office counseling clients, I’m researching ways to better serve my clients to make family matters less stressful and more efficient. In my personal life, my wife and I are finally planning to go on our honeymoon on a safari to Africa in June—only two years late!

7. Who I’m Loving

This one is an easy one – our two long-haired dachshunds, Harry Winston and Mia Sofia. Even on the most stressful of days, one hug with these two instantly lowers my stress level. I’d also be in huge trouble if I didn’t mention my wife, Lauren, who I met in law school.

8. What I’m Proud Of

I really am most proud of my wife. Lauren is also an attorney and after her time spent working for Procter & Gamble (which is what led to us to move to Cincinnati from Miami, Florida), she delved into the Silicon Valley tech scene to work for one of the most prestigious law firms in the world, representing major players such as Amazon and Cisco, as well as unicorn startups and venture capital funds. She worked on blockbuster deals that often made headlines, which was pretty cool to see. I’ve learned from her that a lawyer can be a fierce advocate for their clients while always maintaining integrity and respect for all—a cornerstone of how I run my own practice.
