THE TRAIL CONSERVANCY’S first-ever earth day jubilee

When it comes to Austinites, there’s few things we love more than food trucks, live music and mother earth. That’s why we’re excited to share with you the opportunity to experience all three at once for The Trail Conservancy’s first-ever ‘Earth Day Clean-Up and Jubilee’! The two day event will begin on Friday April 21st with a community-wide land and lake clean-up and continue on Saturday, April 22nd with a family-friendly and free celebration on The Butler Trail—a natural sanctuary in the heart of Austin with an important role in our city’s environmental and ecological makeup.

As far as the ‘why’ behind the creation of the event, Heidi Anderson, CEO at The Trail Conservancy noted, “As the nonprofit stewards of the Town Lake Metropolitan Park around Lady Bird Lake, on which the Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail sits, The Trail Conservancy is committed to protecting, enhancing, and connecting this beloved space. The Earth Day Jubilee is envisioned as a signature event that celebrates the park and the Trail, the volunteers who help protect it, and the community that uses it. The day is designed to educate and inspire current and future generations of Trail stewards through workshops, activations, music, and fun.”
