As advocates for small businesses, The Scout Guide editors are continually scouting their communities for local finds to share and celebrate. With their fingers on the pulse, they are also excellent sources of unique information. Recently, we caught up with The Scout Guide Saint Louis editor Stacey Goltermann and associate editor Amy Jo Mitchell to find out what they’re really excited about these days. Here, they share their latest obsessions, including the ice cream they’ll be indulging in during the warm-weather months, a podcast that has them feeling inspired, and more.

1. WHO WE’RE FOLLOWING

Amy Studebaker // “We love everything Amy does. From interior design advice to cute apparel and fashion to life-changing organization and lifestyle tips, Amy’s Instagram is a one-stop resource and guide. Not to mention her day-in-the-life stories, which make us feel like we get an insider view into her successful interior design business and personality.”

2. WHAT WE’RE LISTENING TO

Self.Made.Sister.Podcast // “This is a wonderful podcast run by our very own Kendra Scott Saint Louis member, Anna Keenan, featuring inspiring women who share their stories. From entrepreneurs and CEOs to influencers and philanthropists, we love hearing how other successful women brought their dreams to life.”

3. WHAT WE’RE WEARING

Spring Dresses from Lusso // “Bright spring dresses with volume and fun details, paired with oversized funky earrings or layering delicate chain pendants, is what you’ll find us wearing all season long.”

4. WHAT WE’RE SUPPORTING

Mighty Oaks Heart Foundation // “Mighty Oaks was created with a mission to carry on the legacy of Oakes Ortyl, a mighty warrior born with a congenital heart defect, by spreading love and hope to heart families. Through critical financial support and emotional comfort, they enable families to focus on the love that empowers them to bravely face the fight. The foundation honors Oakes by offering personalized financial support and powerful emotional support to assist families affected by a myriad of challenges that congenital heart defects present.”

5. WHAT WE’RE BUYING

Home Accessories from Story Seven // “The last year has definitely given us a lot of time at home to reflect, and with that came the desire to update and refresh our home decor. Story Seven is a wonderful home accessories boutique in the darling Webster Groves neighborhood that never disappoints. We’re currently crushing on their rattan trays.”

6. WHERE WE’RE STAYING

Chaumette Vineyards and Winery // “A little over an hour drive from Saint Louis, and suddenly we’re in wine country with gorgeous rolling vineyards. This destination winery is a wonderful break from busy urban life and offers elegant accommodations with gracious service and award-winning wines. The area still maintains the  Midwest charm with darling, historic Sainte Genevieve shopping and dining.”

7. WHAT WE’RE EATING

Anything from Clementine’s Creamery // Oprah magazine declared this the ‘sexiest ice cream’ and that’s no lie. Our go-to is the Gooey Butter Cake, which is a creamy take on the infamous Saint Louis breakfast pastry with cream cheese ice cream. Another favorite is the Tequila Chocolate Mole, a smokey dark chocolate ice cream with sweet mole and caramel. Whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong. And good news for those outside Saint Louis, they deliver!”
