Volume 1's West Texas Welcome
To give the first volume of The Scout Guide West Texas a proper West Texas welcome, we gathered at a private home in Midland for an evening of celebration. The gathering was such a lovely way to toast a year’s worth of Scouting and kick off what is sure to be a fabulous year ahead.
To host our blowout affair, we needed the perfect location. While West Texas boasts fabulous venues and locations, the private home of two TSG West Texas supporters caught our eye. The home – recently completed with the help of Volume 1’s Simply Kristina, Alldredge Gardens, and Hyacinth – perfectly embodied The Scout Guide’s belief that everything you need to live a beautiful life can be found right here in West Texas.
Like the venue, the party reflected the talents and offerings of Volume 1’s Members. The Botanical Boutique created the most beautiful florals to complement our life-size Volume 1 cover; Cody’s Red Balloon designed and executed a perfect balloon display using guide and stripe; and Bivardi Designs provided the perfect event rentals.
In many ways, the Volume 1 launch party was the guide come to life, and the pop-ups from local businesses made the evening unforgettable. Thank you to Bello Tallow, Lola + Tae, Maison Collective, Maria Victoria, Milagro Collective, Simply, Souvenirs, The Marfa Spirit Co., and Tiqvah for sharing their wares + services.
After shopping, partygoers enjoyed a Hole-In-One Contest, a Giveaway Wall, assorted lawn games + activities, live music, local drinks, and Book Bar (a TSG Launch Party must-have). Volume 1’s Members came together to arrange fabulous prizes, from $300 to Found Furnishings and diamond huggie earrings from Cathy Eastham Fine Jewelry to a year of IVs from Morph – and more!
In addition to live music from local band The Croaking Toads, guests were offered a lineup of locally-sourced sips and snacks. Black Rifle Coffee Co. served up Iced Espresso Martinis and Hops & Bubbles whipped up a fan-favorite Prickly Pear Margaritas. Drinks paired fabulously with a menu designed by Midland Meat’s Half Acre catering, which guests raved about. And fellow Volume 1 Member, I’d Rather Bake, provided delicious sweets.
We are so grateful for each and every West Texan who joined us for our Midland-based celebration of the entrepreneurs, movers, and shakers who make our community so special. And we’re so thrilled fellow TSG Editors, Shannon Bland of TSG Austin and Ashlyn Lawson of TSG Southlake & Grapevine, could join us for this celebration. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
Special thanks to our photograph Evan Wallis for capturing our special soirée. Ready to Meet The Scout Guide Volume 6 and get your hands on the Guide? Look no further…
