Scouted Ways to Keep Littles Entertained

School’s out for the summer and there’s long, hot days ahead. To help you keep your littles busy, Volume 1 weighed in with their local-loving suggestions for hours of fun for them – and peace and quiet for you! From a Scouted Summer Camp that’s still open for registration to a Midland institution, here are just a few of our favorite ways to keep littles entertained this summer…


LOCAL FUN


Camp Balcones Springs @campbalconesspringsCamp is the ultimate way to keep littles entertained during the summer, and there’s no better place than our newly Scouted Summer Camp, Camp Balcones Springs. Green Acres@greenacresmidlandA Midland favorite since 1955, Green Acres provides hours of fun with mini golf, arcade activities, and Snack Bar! Walk-ins are welcome, but tee times are strongly recommended. Suggested by Kristen Covington, Co-Owner of Found Furnishings

Kid’s College3600 N. Garfield, Midland, Texas Kids’ College is a summer enrichment program for students who will be completing the 1st through 6th grades in the 2021-2022 school year. Art Camp at The Studio3211 Wadley Ave, Suite 5, Midland, TexasSchool is out and Art Camp at The Studio is in session. With drop-ins available, art camp is the ultimate fun for littles ages 4 through 14. Everyday provides a new and fun experience that includes painting, slime or some other extremely messy activity you don’t have to clean up! Sibley Nature Center@sibleynaturecentertxLet littles explore the wild Llano Estacado with the experts at Sibley Nature Center. Sibley provides ample at-home activities, as well as a Kid’s Camp for littles ages 9 to 12. Suggested by Natalie Castillo, Founder of Bello Tallow.

Centennial Park Splash Pad200 West Wall Street, Midland, TexasKeep kiddos entertained and cool at Centennial Park’s Splash Pad. Museum of the Southwest’s Children’s Museum@museumofthesouthwest With ample activities all summer long, Museum of the Southwest is a fabulous local resource for keeping littles entertained. As is their newly re-imagined Children’s Museum, which features painting zones, sensory galleries, toddler zones, and more! Suggested by John Morris, Owner of Morris Construction Company.
