A Chat with Power Women Investing Founder Tiana Ronstadt

We sat down with an amazing woman entrepreneur, Tiana Ronstadt, to question her on how her successful business Power Women Investing came to be. The road to building your own business is no doubt a daunting one, luckily there are inspiring women like Tiana to shine some light on the whole process.

Why did you start your company?

“In an heavily male dominated industry I wanted to not only leave corporate culture as well as create a place where women felt empowered, heard, and assisted in navigating their financial needs.”

What inspires you as a business owner?

“My clients. It is inspiring to hear individual and unique stories about growing up, surviving, living, and how others earn a living. We are a diverse and amazing force.”

What do you like most about your business?

“I am blessed by our team. I so appreciate the opportunity I have had to attract, mentor and retain amazing women to be a part of our mission and vision at Power Women Investing”

What advice do you have for women wanting to start their own business?

“Just do it !! Leap, jump, dive, go ALL in….once you know you know and it is just a matter of betting on you! Now that being said be sure you have run a profit and loss forecast, know your needed cash flow, outsource what you don’t’ know, be sure to set up a separate account, keep expense separate,  set up your business, and find a planner to help”

What was the biggest struggle you had to overcome when starting your business?

“Realizing all the different departments/hats that now you wear: landlord, renter, payroll, HR, CEO, CMO, CFO, oh and mother, wife, friend, sister, and then what I really was good at…..why I started the business……behavioral holistic planner.”

How do you manage your work/life balance in order to prevent burn out?

“Time is our most valuable asset thus we must spend it wisely.  When I am home I am 100% home. I am where I am physically. I also take pause throughout my day and be sure to check in on others to avoid missing those times that I could be interrupted. Focusing on one thing at a time. Hugging often.  Taking SPA days. I am a spa junkie.”
