The key to great skin is twofold a) staying properly hydrated and b) understanding that what you put into your body is just as important as what you put on your skin. Here are our tips:
- The obvious: sunscreen (zinc oxide-based only)
- Use plant oils such as avocado and sesame that hydrate and offer natural UV protection (they filter up to 30% of UV rays) and apply before sunscreen. Then, throw the same ingredients in a salad dressing for double the protection.
- Eat plenty of seasonal fruits and consider juicing them: watermelon and cantaloupe are particularly good for hydration.
- Drink lots of water, of course, but make it interesting by infusing it with orange, lemon and fresh summer herbs such as rosemary or spearmint.
