Riverwalk Cafe and Oyster Bar (201 Southwest St. Lucie Avenue, Stuart). A hometown favorite for lunch and dinner, you can never go wrong with their excellent fish dishes. Instagram

The Gafford (47 Southwest Flagler Avenue, Stuart). Local favorite. Enjoy high-end American food at this dinner-only establishment offering solid seafood, salads, steaks and excellent after-dinner drinks. Instagram

Kilwins Ice Cream (41A Southwest Osceola Street, Stuart). This reliable old-fashioned ice cream shop in downtown Stuart delivers plentiful scoops as well as specialty sweets. Instagram

Gilbert’s Coffee Bar* (615 Southwest Anchorage Way, Stuart). Sit waterside and enjoy your morning coffee or tea at this hopping spot in Sunset Bay Marina. They also offer smoothies, light breakfast foods, and beer and wine in the afternoon. Instagram

Waterfront Restaurant* (131 Southwest Flagler Avenue, Stuart). A waterfront standout and a great spot for drinks, there are two options for dining at this bustling establishment. Upstairs has a more formal menu (order the mussels in pastry) and the lobster roll on the downstairs menu is not to be missed. Instagram

Co-Lab Kitchen (109 Southeast MLK Jr. Boulevard, Stuart). An Urban farm cafe serving locavore cuisine in a unique outdoor tufted seating, this kid friendly spot is ideal for kids and pups. The market sells local and their own produce, in addition to fresh-baked goods and fermented foods. Great Happy Hour Wednesday through Saturday 2pm to Close.Instagram

Fruits and Roots (710 South Colorado Avenue, Stuart). The vegan set will enjoy the creative and delicious offerings at this good-for-you restaurant. Instagram

Sailors Return* (625 Southwest Anchorage Way, Stuart). Located at Sunset Bay Marina, you’ll always find a bustling happy hour crowd here. While an excellent locale for drinks, there’s also a robust menu to satisfy all. Instagram

Roasted Record (600 S. Colorado Ave, Stuart, Fl. 34994) The Roasted Record is a local coffee roaster; don’t forget to shop the vinyl record section while you sip your fresh cup of Joe.

Hobe Sound

The Grove (8815 Southeast Bridge Road, Hobe Sound). You’ll find local award-winning Italian cuisine and a robust wine menu at this Hobe Sound gem. Instagram

Palm and Ivy Kitchen and Cocktails (10431 Southeast Federal Highway, Hobe Sound). This is the place to sidle up to the large bar area with plentiful seating options during football season. The American chophouse-style menu with great apps and an excellent wine menu never disappoints. Looking for a spot for a large party or special occasion? The large dining room is perfect. Instagram

Harry and The Natives (11910 Southeast Federal Highway, Hobe Sound). Long-standing local hotspot serving American menu in funky digs with occasional live entertainment. 

Citron Bistro (11750 Southeast Dixie Highway, Hobe Sound). Owned by the founder of J. McLaughlin Clothing Company, Citron Bistro has garnered a reputation as a wonderful option for family and dog-owners because of its great outdoor seating. Also check out the Vero Beach location. Try the Kale Salad or if you need a more filling option the Grilled Cheese with homemade chips.Instagram

Palm City

Palm City Social (3168 Southwest Martin Downs Boulevard, Palm City). Hit up Palm City Social when you’re on the hunt for lots of menu options with a Southern flare. We love the great happy hour and inventive cocktail menu. Instagram

Ristorante Claretta (1315 Martin Highway, Palm City). This long-standing family-run Italian place serving traditional fare has stayed a local fave for a reason. Instagram

Fort Pierce

Pickled (201 North 2nd Street, Fort Pierce). We love Pickeld for Sunday brunch, but their menus for lunch and dinner are also excellent. Instagram

The Fort Steakhouse (100 South 2nd Street, Fort Pierce). This modern steakhouse is known for its fun and approachable take on wild game. Instagram

The Square Grouper Tiki Bar Ft. Pierce Inlet* (1920 Seaway Drive, Fort Pierce). Local hotspot on the Fort Pierce Inlet, serving great cocktails, lunch, and dinner. Instagram

On the Edge Bar and Grill* (1136 Seaway Drive, Fort Pierce). Waterside spot serving local seafood pub-fare and drinks for lunch and dinner with an open-air thatched roof. Instagram

Port St. Lucie

Oak and Ember (848 Southeast Becker Road, Port St. Lucie). Meat lovers flock to this Argentinian-style steakhouse with old-school excellent service. Instagram

Kyle G’s Oyster and Wine Bar (1724 Southwest Saint Lucie West Boulevard, Port St. Lucie). This tapas-style wine bar has a beautiful atmosphere that makes it a go-to spot for happy hour. Instagram

Tutto Fresco (9501 Reserve Boulevard, Port St. Lucie). This is the go-to place for solid Italian food.

Coffee Grind (10658 Southwest Village Parkway, Port St. Lucie). A Tradition favorite, the beans are roasted to offer this coffee shop is organic and certified Kosher. Instagram

Vero Beach

Maison Martinique (1601 Ocean Drive, Vero Beach). One of the leading restaurants in Vero Beach, enjoy fine American fare and wine in elegant digs with an upstairs piano bar. Offering breakfast and lunch as well. Instagram

Citron Bistro (6260 Florida A1A, Vero Beach). Located in the Village shops of Vero Beach, enjoy indoor/outdoor seating and new American-style cuisine. Instagram

Citrus Grillhouse (10 Easter Lily Lane, Vero Beach). Always popular American bistro-style seaside eatery, the dishes are Italian and Mediterranean style. Instagram

Lemon Tree (3125 Ocean Drive, Vero Beach). Hit up Lemon Tree for pancakes, eggs, burgers and fries. Instagram

The Ocean Grill* (1050 Beachland Boulevard, Vero Beach). Located on the ocean, this Vero Beach landmark restaurant is set inside a former officers’ club. The seafood and steaks never disappoint. Instagram

Grind and Grape (925 Bougainvillea Lane, Vero Beach). A coffee shop by day and bar with live music by night. We’re partial to their breakfast and it’s always a toss up of whether to order the eggs benny, fruited French toast, or waffles. Instagram

The Tides of Vero (3103 Cardinal Drive, Vero Beach, Fl. 32963)A fine mix of Floridian and New American cuisine. The Tides wine list has won the Award of Excellence from The Wine Spectator for 23 consecutive years.

Downtown Vero Beach

Wood N Spoon (2015 9th Street Southwest, Vero Beach). Enjoy fresh, healthy meals at this locale known for its New York-style bagels, hot breakfasts, and delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches. 

Tasty-O Donuts (1700 14th Avenue, Vero Beach). The first donut shop in Vero Beach, which opened in 1971, is a must visit. 

La Tabla (29 Royal Palm Pointe, Vero Beach). A surfing-themed breakfast and lunch destination, La Tabla sources locally when possible. Their cold-pressed juices are out of sight. Instagram

Mrs. Mac’s Fillin Station (951 Old Dixie Highway, Vero Beach). A casual, old school establishment serving breakfast and lunch American staples since 1992.

Filthy’s Fine Cocktails and Beer (1238 16th Street, Vero Beach). Informal beer, wine, and cocktail destination specializing in building your own Bloody Mary’s. Instagram

Cooper’s Chop House & Seafood (30 Royal Palm Pointe, Vero Beach). Everyone loves a chophouse and Cooper’s is no exception. Instagram

CJ Cannon’s (3414 Cherokee Drive, Vero Beach). Long-standing local spot at the Vero Beach airport offering runway views while serving burgers, sandwiches, and other American eats. Instagram

Curfew (1932 14th Avenue, Vero Beach). Modern elevated gastropub with a broad selection of over 75 wines, and a deep bourbon and tequila selection. Instagram

Tribe Coffee (1125 12th Street, Vero Beach). The beans that are fresh air-roasted on location are excellent at this downtown coffee shop.

Jensen Beach

11 Maple Street (3224 Northeast Maple Avenue, Jensen Beach). A local favorite for several decades, enjoy Innovative and upscale New American cuisine in a quaint setting. Instagram

Magic Oyster (10999 South Ocean Drive, Jensen Beach). A seafood eatery and oyster bar with a great happy hour and the locals love to pull up to watch sports. 

Kyle G’s Prime Seafood* (10900 South Ocean Drive, Hutchinson Island). This upscale oceanfront establishment features an upscale dining room perfect for special occasions. Instagram

Bunk House Coffee Bar (3181 Northeast West End Boulevard, Jensen Beach). A local favorite with a vegan and great ambiance, the beans are freshly roasted to order. 

Stuart

The Chef’s Table (2313 Southeast Ocean Boulevard, Stuart). We’re big fans of the pasta bolognese, paninis and truffle fries at this sophisticated new American restaurant. They also offer private catering which is always a big hit. Instagram

Seaside Cafe* (891 Northeast Ocean Boulevard, Stuart). Enjoy oceanfront outdoor seating at Stuart Public Beach for breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner. We love pulling up during the winter and sitting at the outdoor bar overlooking the ocean. Instagram

District Table (4665 Southeast Dixie Highway, Stuart). Make a reservation at this dinner-only uber popular local spot with a Southern flare. Instagram

South Fork Kitchen and Bar (950 Southeast Indian Street, Stuart). Combining farm-to-table dining and outdoor seating with TVs for watching sports, this establishment is a perennial fave with the locals. Instagram

Cali Coffee (1028 Southeast Federal Highway, Stuart). When you need your java on the go, this drive-thru coffee shop is your destination. They also offer shakes, teas, chai, and more. Instagram
