When did you start working at TSG?
April 30, 2018
Where are you from?
Northern Virginia originally, but I have lived in Charlottesville since I graduated from college in 2014.
What do you do at TSG HQ?
I manage a group of Editors and serve as a mentor/go-to person/coach as they go through the process of creating their guides. I love being able to help them grow their businesses and answer tough questions along the way.
How did you arrive at TSG?
I first heard about TSG from [TSG Graphic Designer] Erin Blair and immediately became intrigued by the business and mission and wanted to be part of the team.
What’s on your desk?
Lots of sticky notes, my planner, a water bottle, and lots of pens and pencils.
Words to live by?
“Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.”
Favorite vacation destination?
The beaches in Maine! I grew up going there every summer and love it so, so much. It’s such a beautiful and fun place.
My favorite movie changes a lot, but my current favorite is Interstellar.
What’s in your bag?
Most days my Canon camera just in case something catches my eye and I want to take some pictures, sunglasses, a notebook to jot down ideas that come to mind or to create to-do lists, and tons of pens and pencils because I lose them all the time.
Best part about working at TSG?
I love the creative liberty it provides. We each have our set roles, but with breathing room and the ability to express our creative ideas and opinions. Expression is really encouraged and accepted.
What’s your TSG obsession?
I love flipping through the Charlottesville guide because I am constantly discovering new things about my own city even after living here for 4 years. I love finding a hidden gem, whether it be a cool store or restaurant.
